The combined demand is ₹109.172 crore before any separately stated interest. The company plans to appeal; the exchange filing records an unresolved dispute, not a final finding that the company owes the amount.
How much is the ideaForge GST demand?
The headline figure of ₹545.86 crore does not match the amount in ideaForge’s exchange disclosure. The filing states INR 545.86 million in tax, which is ₹54.586 crore—not ₹545.86 crore—and a separate, equal INR 545.86 million penalty.

Why did ideaForge receive a GST order?
In its Regulation 30 disclosure, ideaForge said the Additional Commissioner CGST & Central Excise, Belapur, issued an order under Section 74 of the Central GST Act read with the MGST and IGST Acts. The order covers January 2022 to March 2024. ideaForge said it received it on 1 October 2026 and disclosed it to the NSE and BSE on 2 October 2026. The company’s exchange disclosure summarizes the authority’s allegation that ideaForge wrongly applied 5% GST under Schedule I, entry 244, and short-paid tax by a differential 13 percentage points.

That rate allegation is the authority’s position as described in the company filing. The disclosure does not describe it as a final adjudication following an appeal.
What is ideaForge’s response?
ideaForge said that, in consultation with its tax advisers, it would file an appeal with the appropriate authority. It also said it expects a favourable outcome at the appellate forum; that is the company’s expectation, not an independent assessment of how the appeal will be decided.

The filing records the company’s position that the government clarified in 2025 that the GST rate for drones is 5%. It does not identify or link to the clarification, give its date, or explain how it applies to the supplies assessed for January 2022 through March 2024. The effect of that clarification on the dispute therefore remains unsettled in the disclosed information.
Has ideaForge already filed an appeal?
The 2 October 2026 disclosure says an appeal would be filed; it does not say that an appeal had already been lodged. It also does not establish whether an appeal or stay followed. Appeal status can change, so readers should check the latest NSE or BSE filings for subsequent updates.

Will the GST order affect ideaForge’s profits or operations?
ideaForge said that, at the time of its disclosure, the order had no immediate material impact on its financials, business operations, or other activities. That is the company’s assessment while the dispute is unresolved; it is not a determination of ultimate tax liability. The filing does not quantify a provision or otherwise set out a separate financial-statement estimate of the order’s eventual effect.
