The concert footage and Martin’s joke do not settle the question, either.

Astronomer confirmed the pair’s identities, said a statement attributed to Byron circulating online was fake, and placed him on leave while its board began a formal investigation. The company announced his resignation on July 19, 2025, according to the Associated Press. Associated Press

The Guardian quoted the company describing its leadership expectations: “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.” That statement addresses leadership conduct; it is not an admission that an affair occurred.
