No verified evidence here supports a list of 15 self-defense weapons available on Amazon today—or the claim that any product is “lifesaving.” The documented product category is personal pepper spray, but its availability, legality, and suitability depend on the specific listing and where you live. In an immediate threat, focus first on getting away or finding a safe place; a device is not a substitute for a plan.
What the available evidence supports
Personal pepper spray is the only specific consumer self-defense product category supported by the cited sources. Those sources do not establish current Amazon listings, stock, prices, brands, or product performance. They also do not compare 15 products or show that any device reliably prevents injury or death. For those reasons, a ranked shopping list—or a promise that a product is lifesaving—would overstate what is known.
If you are considering a listing, check the seller’s current product details and instructions rather than assuming that all products in the category work the same way. Do not infer range, duration, effectiveness, or suitability from the product category alone.
What to do during an immediate threat
The FBI’s guidance for an active threat is to run if possible, hide if escape is not available, and fight only as a last resort. It says, “Fighting should be your last resort,” and limits that option to situations where no other action could reasonably protect you from imminent danger. If you are in immediate physical danger, call 911. FBI active-threat guidance

Check the law before buying or carrying pepper spray
Federal law includes pepper spray and chemical mace in a provision saying that the chemical-weapons chapter does not prohibit an individual self-defense device. That narrow provision is not a guarantee that a particular item is legal in every state or locality, or allowed in every place. 18 U.S.C. § 229C
Rules can vary by state and age
Massachusetts is one example of jurisdiction-specific restrictions: it generally restricts purchase or possession by people under 18 without a permit, while providing permit paths for some minors. This is not a nationwide rule. Check current requirements for your state and locality, your age, the places where you intend to carry the item, and any rules that apply to your travel route and destination. Check the listing and the places you visit
Before ordering, confirm the item’s intended use, instructions, age limits, and applicable transport restrictions. Separately check whether it is allowed in the venues you visit; a product being sold online does not establish that you may carry it everywhere.

For personal safety, consider how you would leave a threatening situation, where you could go for help, and whom you would contact. Any device adds its own handling, storage, and legal considerations; the sources cited here do not establish that carrying one guarantees protection.
