How to Activate a Sam’s Club Credit Card Online (2026)

Activate a new Sam’s Club Credit Card or Sam’s Club Mastercard on Synchrony’s official activation page: samsclub.syf.com/activate. The form asks for your card number, its three-digit security code, and the last four digits of your Social Security number. Submit the form using “Activate My Card”; Synchrony says the card is ready to use once activation is complete.

Enter these details only on the official Synchrony page. Do not post or send your card number, security code, SSN digits, or password in comments or messages.

Activation and online account registration are separate

Activating the card does not create online login credentials. To register for online account servicing, Sam’s Club instructs cardholders to have the card or a billing statement available, visit Synchrony’s registration page, enter the card number and billing ZIP code, and follow the prompts to create a password. Once signed in, cardholders can pay bills, set up monthly payments, customize notifications, and view statements, according to Synchrony’s FAQ.

Which Sam’s Club card are you activating?

Synchrony Bank issues both the Sam’s Club Credit Card and the Sam’s Club Mastercard. They are distinct products, so “Sam’s Club credit card” does not necessarily mean the Mastercard. Synchrony says consumer applicants are first considered for the Mastercard; if they are not approved for or prequalified for it, they are then considered for the Sam’s Club Credit Card. The non-Mastercard card does not earn Sam’s Cash. Check your card and current account materials if you are unsure which product you have.

Synchrony’s January 23, 2025 announcement said the issuer would continue issuing Sam’s Club consumer, business, and commercial cards across the retailer’s U.S. and Puerto Rico locations, website, and app under a multi-year extension. This is partnership context, not a statement about an individual account’s approval or terms.
