Cash App has separate records for tax reporting and monthly account activity. To find an eligible business account’s Form 1099-K or tax transaction summary, open Settings → Documents in the app. To get a monthly account statement, use Profile → Documents & statements → Account statements in the app, or sign in at cash.app/account and open Documents → Account statements. Choose the record type first: a monthly statement or transaction history is not a substitute for a tax form.
Choose the Cash App record you need
Cash App uses different records for tax reporting and account activity. The right download depends on what your tax preparer, records, or filing task requires.
| Record | What it is | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Form 1099-K | A tax form Cash App says it provides to qualifying business-account users when reporting conditions are met. Not every Cash App user receives one. | In the app, open Settings → Documents. See Cash App’s Form 1099-K information. |
| Tax transaction summary | A summary of transactions associated with the tax form process for eligible business-account users. It is distinct from the monthly statement. | Look in Settings → Documents in the app. |
| Monthly account statement | A periodic account record. It is separate from a Form 1099-K and tax transaction summary. | In the app, open Profile → Documents & statements → Account statements. On the web, open Documents → Account statements after signing in. |
| Transaction history | A view of transactions in your account. Cash App’s terms describe history as available in the app or account website, with 12-month and 24-month history windows; those windows do not establish how long tax forms or statements remain downloadable. | View it in the app or at cash.app/account. See the Cash App U.S. Terms of Service. |
Find a Form 1099-K or tax transaction summary
- Open Cash App and go to Settings → Documents.
- Look for the tax document or transaction summary associated with your business account.
- Open the item and use the available download or viewing option to save or access it.
Cash App describes its 1099-K process for qualifying business accounts. Its page says personal-only accounts will not receive a Form 1099-K from Cash App, with an exception for someone who previously had a business account and met reporting conditions before switching to a personal account. For tax year 2025, Cash App states the federal reporting threshold as more than $20,000 and more than 200 transactions for business-account activity, and says qualifying forms are to be delivered by February 2, 2026. State reporting thresholds may be lower. These are tax-year-specific details, not a rule that every user will receive a form; check Cash App’s current Form 1099-K information for the applicable tax year.
A 1099-K reports payment activity; by itself, it does not determine whether every reported payment is taxable income or settle the tax treatment of a particular transaction.

Download a monthly account statement in the app
- Open Cash App and tap your Profile.
- Tap Documents & statements.
- Tap Account statements.
- Choose the year and open the month you need, then use the available option to view or download the statement.
Cash App says monthly account statements become available during the last five business days of the month. If the month you need is not listed yet, check again during that availability window. See Cash App’s account statement help for its current instructions.
Get a monthly account statement on the web
- Sign in to cash.app/account.

- Choose the year and open the month you need.
- Use the available option to view or download the statement.
Cash App’s U.S. Terms of Service says, “You can find your transaction receipts and account statements in your Cash App account.” The terms also describe transaction history access, but that history is a separate record from a tax form or monthly statement.

If the document is missing or you cannot access it
- Confirm that you are checking the right record section: tax documents are under Settings → Documents, while monthly statements are under Profile → Documents & statements → Account statements or the website’s Documents → Account statements.
- For monthly statements, check whether the month has reached the last five business days availability window described by Cash App.
- For a Form 1099-K, keep in mind Cash App’s stated business-account eligibility rules and the possibility of lower state reporting thresholds.
- If the expected record still does not appear, contact Cash App Support. General instructions cannot establish your account’s eligibility or resolve an account-specific access issue.
For readers preparing a return that includes 1099 income, Cash App says Cash App Taxes supports federal and state returns that include 1099 income; see Cash App Taxes for its filing information.
