If an American Express Membership Rewards transfer to Aeroméxico Rewards has not appeared, first check the transfer confirmation and the Aeroméxico account number and name you selected. For U.S. accounts, Amex says transfers typically take 48 hours to process, but partner posting can take longer; this is a general estimate, not an Aeroméxico-specific deadline. If the points remain missing after the applicable window, contact Amex and Aeroméxico Rewards to trace the transfer. Do not send another transfer or expect to reverse the first one: Amex says transfers are final.
Check whether the transfer was completed and where it was sent
- Sign in to your American Express account and review the transfer activity or confirmation. Note the date and time, points amount, selected partner, Aeroméxico Rewards member number, and any confirmation or reference details shown. These details can help when you contact support; Amex does not say that every transfer produces a reference number.
- Sign in to Aeroméxico Rewards and check the account balance and activity directly. Amex advises customers to verify receipt in the partner loyalty account, rather than relying only on the Amex account display. Amex’s points-transfer help page explains this check.
A transfer that is not visible yet is not, by itself, proof that it failed. The transfer may still be processing, or the partner may not have posted the points.
Confirm the destination account details
Compare the Aeroméxico Rewards member number in the transfer confirmation with the number for the account you are checking. Also verify that the name on the American Express Card matches the name on the partner loyalty account. Amex says the names must match for account linking and a successful transfer; its Mexico Aeroméxico page warns that name discrepancies can lead to rejected registration or transfers. Amex U.S. help and the Amex Mexico Aeroméxico page describe these checks.
Use the timing for your issuing market
Transfer timing and displayed conversion rates vary by market. The U.S. estimate is not the same as the Aeroméxico-specific estimate Amex publishes for Mexico.

| United States | 1,000 Membership Rewards points = 1,600 Aeroméxico Rewards points, on the Amex U.S. partner listing retrieved October 3, 2026. Confirm the rate shown in your signed-in transfer flow, since partner terms and offers can change. Amex U.S. partner listing | Amex U.S. terms say transfers typically take 48 hours to process, while some partner programs may take longer to post points. This is a general estimate, not an Aeroméxico-specific service deadline. The terms were indexed in April 2026. | Mexico | 100 Membership Rewards points = 115 Aeroméxico Rewards points, on the Amex Mexico partner page retrieved October 3, 2026. Amex Mexico Aeroméxico page | Amex Mexico displays an estimated transfer time of one minute to two business days. That estimate applies to the Mexico program context, not U.S. accounts. | Minimum 1,000 points, in increments of 100, according to the Amex Mexico partner page. |
Use the row for the country that issued your Amex account. In particular, do not treat Mexico’s one-minute-to-two-business-day estimate or its conversion rate as a U.S. promise or U.S. rate.
Contact both providers if the points are still missing
If the points have not appeared after the applicable estimate, use the support route in your signed-in Amex account or the number on your Card. Ask Amex to check whether the transfer was accepted, rejected, or is still pending, and to verify the destination member number. Then ask Aeroméxico Rewards to check the account associated with that number for a pending, rejected, or credited transfer. These are useful questions to ask; the reviewed U.S. guidance does not describe a special missing-transfer claim form or guarantee particular status terms.

These contacts are published for Mexico account-name assistance, not as U.S. support numbers. A separate Amex Mexico rewards FAQ lists 800 504 04 00 for Mexico customer service and says reward clarifications should be raised within 24 hours of receipt; that is not established as a U.S. missing-transfer deadline or policy. Amex U.S. says all points transfers are final and cannot be reversed, and that partner points cannot be converted back into Membership Rewards points. The published guidance does not establish that a pending transfer can be canceled. Ask Amex to investigate before initiating another transfer; sending more points is not a documented way to recover the first transfer. Amex U.S. transfer guidance.
