MrBeast’s money comes from a creator-led business: YouTube audiences attract advertising and sponsorships, while consumer brands such as Feastables add product sales. Those business revenues are not the same as Jimmy Donaldson’s personal income or wealth. Separately, Beast Philanthropy says revenue from its own YouTube channel funds its charitable work; that is not a pledge to donate all MrBeast business revenue or personal income.
How MrBeast’s business earns revenue
In a 2024 TIME interview, Jimmy Donaldson described annual revenue of roughly $600 million to $700 million. He also said a video could generate a couple of million dollars in advertising revenue and a couple of million in brand deals. These are his reported business figures at that time, not audited accounts or estimates of what he personally took home.
Advertising and sponsorships
Large video audiences create opportunities to earn from platform advertising and sponsored brand placements. Donaldson’s per-video figures indicate that both were meaningful parts of the operation in 2024, but they do not provide a complete breakdown across videos, channels, costs, or other businesses.
Feastables and other businesses
Consumer products became a major part of the revenue mix. TIME reported in 2024 that Feastables accounted for about 70% of MrBeast’s revenue in its second year. Separately, Bloomberg reporting based on materials sent to potential investors, as relayed by Fortune in 2025, put Feastables’ 2024 sales at about $250 million, with more than $20 million in profit. The 70% figure and the 2024 sales and profit figures refer to different reporting periods and measures; sales are not profit, and neither figure states Donaldson’s personal income.

MrBeast Burger is a historical example rather than evidence of a current revenue source. TIME reported that the virtual restaurant business launched in December 2020, reached a reported 1,700 virtual locations, and had generated $100 million in total revenue by August 2022. It later became embroiled in a legal dispute.

Why business revenue is not personal wealth
A company’s revenue is the money it brings in before expenses. Profit is what remains after costs; personal income is what an individual receives. Those figures can differ substantially, especially when a business spends heavily on production, staff, operations, and growth.
TIME reported that Donaldson said his production company was not profitable in 2023 and was not expected to be profitable in 2024. He described reinvesting what the businesses made, saying, “Whatever we make, we reinvest.” That is a dated account of his approach in the interview, not a statement about the company’s profitability today.

The same distinction matters for estimates of wealth and charitable giving: the figures cited here do not establish a current audited personal net worth, annual personal income, or total lifetime donations. A video giveaway is also not automatically a charitable donation; entertainment spending, business revenue, and nonprofit programs are separate things.

Beast Philanthropy describes itself as a 501(c)(3) founded by Donaldson. The organization says revenue from views on its own YouTube channel funds its work, and its donation page says 100% of that channel’s revenue goes to the philanthropy’s operation. This commitment is specifically about that channel’s revenue; it does not say that all Beast Industries revenue, Feastables sales, or Donaldson’s personal income is donated.

The organization says it works on hunger, child labor, and community impact. Its projects may be run directly or through partnerships with established, field-verified organizations. It describes selecting projects for scale, verifiability, and shareability, and says delivery can include direct programs, campaigns, and media platforms.
Reported projects and outputs
Beast Philanthropy’s 2022 annual report says it distributed more than 1.2 million pounds of food across 21 communities in North Carolina. Its project summaries also describe wells in Africa, one million meals, school supplies, homes for homeless families, support for Ukrainian refugees, and tornado recovery. These are outputs reported by the organization for 2022, not a current annual tally.
Rank #4
TIME’s 2024 profile described a prior effort that distributed more than $30 million worth of food that otherwise would have gone to waste. That is the reported value of food, not necessarily cash donated.

Donations beyond the channel’s revenue
Beast Philanthropy’s channel is not the only form of support described in the available reporting. The AP’s June 2025 account covered a fundraising offer connected to Beast Games Season 2: the first 40 donors giving $100,000 were offered a studio visit and other access. That was a specific fundraising promotion, not evidence that the same offer or terms apply to routine donations.
Beast Philanthropy’s board letter states, “Our mission is simple: Make Kindness Viral.” The organization’s own description and published project examples indicate a mix of channel-funded operations, donations, and partner-supported work.
What the figures do—and don’t—show
| Figure | What it measures | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| About $600 million–$700 million annually | Business revenue, not personal income | Donaldson’s reported figure in TIME, 2024; not an audited current account. |
| A couple of million dollars per video from ads and a couple of million from brand deals | Reported per-video revenue sources | Donaldson’s description in TIME, 2024; not a full breakdown or take-home pay. |
| About 70% of revenue | Feastables’ share in its second year | TIME, 2024; a different measure and period from the 2024 sales figure below. |
| About $250 million in sales; more than $20 million in profit | Feastables’ sales and profit for 2024 | Bloomberg reporting based on investor materials, relayed by Fortune in 2025; not Donaldson’s personal income. |
| More than 1.2 million pounds of food across 21 communities | Food distributed in North Carolina | Beast Philanthropy’s 2022 annual report; organization-reported output. |
These figures answer different questions and come from different kinds of reporting: an interview, investor materials reported by the press, and a nonprofit’s own annual report. They should not be added together or read as a current audited statement of MrBeast’s finances.
