Analysts’ views on Corteva, Nine Dragons Paper and Linde are not directly comparable: the companies operate in agriculture, paper products, and industrial gases and engineering, respectively, and the available rating pages are dated, changing snapshots rather than one consistent cross-company survey. Published ratings show differences in direction and timing, but the available evidence does not establish a complete, like-for-like consensus for all three.

Why these companies draw different analyst views

Their grouping as materials-related stocks does not make their business drivers interchangeable. Corteva is a global agriculture company (NYSE: CTVA); Nine Dragons Paper makes paper products and is primarily listed in Hong Kong as 2689, while NDGPF is an OTC symbol used in third-party coverage; Linde is a global industrial gases and engineering company (Nasdaq: LIN). Analysts may weigh demand, input costs, company outlooks and corporate events differently in each business.

  • Corteva: Crop demand and agricultural inputs shape the operating context. In its July 30, 2026 earnings release, Corteva said first-half performance led it to raise its full-year outlook and that it remained on track for a planned separation, targeting October 1 for the Vylor spin-off. The company gave 2026 non-GAAP Operating EBITDA guidance of $4.1 billion to $4.3 billion and Operating EPS guidance of $3.60 to $3.80. These are management’s dated expectations, not analyst targets. Corteva’s July 30, 2026 results and outlook.
  • Nine Dragons Paper: Paper and packaging demand and input costs are relevant business considerations. The company’s investor-relations homepage listed an announcement of annual results for the year ended June 30, 2026, dated September 23, 2026. Nine Dragons Paper investor relations.
  • Linde: Industrial-gas demand, pricing, projects and the performance of customer industries inform its outlook. Linde’s July 31, 2026 second-quarter release discusses risks including input costs, currency, regulation and customer-industry performance. Linde reports $34 billion in 2025 sales in its company profile and earnings materials; that is operating context, not a measure of analyst sentiment. Linde investor relations.

What the published analyst snapshots show

Third-party analyst pages surfaced mixed actions for Corteva and Nine Dragons Paper, while a Stock Analysis snapshot for Linde reported a Buy consensus alongside Hold and Sell ratings. Those examples illustrate disagreement, but do not establish equivalent rating counts, coverage windows or consensus methods across the three issuers.

Corteva (NYSE: CTVA)

TipRanks’ dynamic CTVA page surfaced a mix of rating actions and target prices. The available snapshot does not establish a complete, dated distribution of Buy, Hold and Sell ratings or a single target-price range that can be compared on the same basis as the other companies. Nine Dragons Paper (Hong Kong: 2689; OTC: NDGPF)

TipRanks’ dynamic Nine Dragons page showed several dated Buy recommendations in late September 2026 and a Sell entry dated October 2, 2026. That spread in direction and timing is evidence of differing published calls, not a complete consensus tally. Nine Dragons’ own analyst-coverage page names firms and analysts it understands to cover its shares, but warns that the list may be incomplete or out of date. It also states: “Any views, estimates, projections or recommendations provided by these institutions and analysts do not necessarily represent or reflect the views, estimates, projections or recommendations of Nine Dragons Paper, its directors or management.” Nine Dragons Paper’s analyst-coverage page. TipRanks’ Nine Dragons forecast page.

Linde (Nasdaq: LIN)

In a snapshot around October 2, 2026, Stock Analysis reported a Buy consensus based on 28 analysts polled by S&P Global, with a low target of $400 and a high target of $580. The same snapshot included Buy, Hold and Sell ratings. Attribute these figures to Stock Analysis’ summary of S&P Global; they are a third-party snapshot, not Linde guidance or an official company forecast. Stock Analysis’ LIN forecast page.

How to compare ratings and price targets responsibly

A consensus label compresses different analysts’ views into one category. To understand what sits behind it, compare the underlying evidence on the same basis:

  • Rating distribution: Record Buy, Hold and Sell counts, the publisher and snapshot date. A Buy consensus can coexist with Hold and Sell opinions, as the cited LIN snapshot demonstrates.
  • Target-price spread: Compare low, average or median, and high targets only when the source provides them. Record the share-price date and currency, and keep listing venues distinct. CTVA, Hong Kong-listed 2689, OTC NDGPF and Nasdaq-listed LIN do not share a common trading currency or venue.
  • Freshness: Keep company results dates separate from analyst-action dates. Corteva’s July results, Linde’s July results, Nine Dragons’ September results announcement listing, and the cited late-September/October analyst actions do not describe one synchronized information set.
  • Company outlook versus analyst opinion: Management guidance and planned transactions are issuer statements; ratings and targets are outside opinions. Neither establishes that a target will be reached.

Since aggregator pages change and the available snapshots do not establish a shared methodology for all three stocks, they support a limited conclusion: analysts have published differing views, but a precise cross-company ranking of bullishness is not supported. No attributable statement from a named analyst about the disagreement itself is established by these sources.

What to take from the disagreement

Use these ratings as dated evidence of published opinion, not as a uniform verdict on the companies. Check the underlying analyst page for its latest timestamp and methodology, then assess its assumptions alongside each company’s own results and outlook. This is general information, not personalized investment advice.
