Chubb appointed Paul Jones Head of Accident & Health (A&H) for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), effective 1 October 2026. Based in Madrid, Jones will lead the region’s A&H growth strategy, with Chubb saying its offering serves corporate clients, affinity groups and consumers.
What is Paul Jones’s new role?
Jones is Chubb’s Head of Accident & Health for EMEA. The appointment took effect on 1 October 2026, according to Chubb’s announcement. He is based in Madrid.
His remit is to set and deliver Chubb’s regional A&H growth strategy, bringing the company’s capabilities to corporate clients, affinity groups and consumers. Chubb says it intends to pursue opportunities in both established and emerging markets; the announcement describes a goal, not results already achieved.
What experience does Jones bring?
Jones had led Corporate A&H for EMEA since October 2025 before taking the regional role. His earlier Chubb positions include:

Before joining Chubb, he held senior leadership positions at Aon and AIG. Chubb’s release does not provide further detail about those roles.
What does Chubb say the appointment is intended to achieve?
Ana Robic, Chubb’s Regional President for EMEA, said Jones had experience across consumer and corporate products and distribution, and described his appointment as positioning Chubb to broaden its offering and deliver solutions for clients across the region. That is the company’s stated rationale, not an independent assessment of Jones or a forecast of business performance.

Chubb describes itself as operating in 54 countries and territories and employing approximately 45,000 people worldwide. Those company-wide figures, reported in its 2026 release, are background context; they are not measures of the A&H division.

The appointment is leadership news rather than a change announcement for a particular insurance policy. Neither Chubb’s release nor Reinsurance News’ 2 October 2026 report provides A&H market share, premiums, growth rates, policy-performance statistics, product-level terms or customer eligibility criteria. The announcement therefore does not establish whether a specific policy is available to an individual or business, or whether its coverage has changed.
