Stripe announced on 2 October 2026 that it plans to create a further 200 jobs at its Dublin headquarters. IDA Ireland said the roles will include engineering and go-to-market positions, but the announcement does not say that all 200 jobs are currently advertised or provide job titles, salaries or an application timetable.

What Stripe announced

The 200 roles are a hiring plan, not a confirmed count of vacancies open now. IDA Ireland’s announcement describes the positions broadly as engineering and go-to-market roles; it does not break them down by team, seniority or location within Dublin. IDA Ireland’s 2 October 2026 announcement contains no salary information or recruitment schedule.

How many people Stripe employs in Ireland

IDA Ireland said Stripe employed more than 1,000 people across Ireland as of its 2 October 2026 announcement, and that the company’s Irish headcount had risen by more than 35% since the start of 2026. These are figures attributed to IDA Ireland, not an independently audited employment series.

Why Dublin is significant to Stripe

Stripe established its first Dublin office in 2013. The company describes Ireland as the hub for its Europe, Middle East and Africa operations and as a base for developing products used globally, including payments, Stripe Tax and fraud-detection tools. Eileen O’Mara, Stripe’s vice chair, said the company’s continued expansion reflected demand for its products in Europe and Ireland’s capacity to support global operations; those are her explanations for the investment, rather than independently established causal findings.

The One Wilton Park headquarters

Stripe opened its new Dublin headquarters at One Wilton Park in October 2025. The 14,500-square-metre office tripled the company’s physical presence in Dublin, according to Stripe. Its 2025 announcement described Dublin as one of the company’s two global headquarters, alongside San Francisco. Stripe’s headquarters announcement provides those details.

What the business counts say—and what they do not

IDA Ireland’s 2026 announcement said Stripe served 86,000 Irish businesses and solopreneurs. Stripe’s 2025 headquarters announcement had reported 70,000. The figures show the company’s reported customer counts at two different dates; they should not be treated as an independently audited or directly comparable growth series.

The hiring announcement establishes the company’s planned roles and reported Irish headcount, but does not quantify the wider economic impact, effects on the local labour market or salaries. Dónal Travers of IDA Ireland and Ireland’s enterprise minister, Peter Burke, both described the expansion as evidence of Ireland’s talent and business environment. Those remarks are attributed assessments, not a separate measurement of the causes or effects of Stripe’s growth.
