How Much Did Tom Selleck and the Blue Bloods Cast Earn? What’s Confirmed

There is no confirmed public figure for Tom Selleck’s Blue Bloods salary or for the cast’s individual pay. The clearest recent disclosure is Selleck’s statement that the cast took a 25% salary cut in the show’s final year. A separate figure often repeated online—more than $200,000 per episode for Selleck—was a 2016 estimate, not a disclosed contract amount.

What is known about the cast’s final-season pay?

In a report published July 30, 2026, Just Jared attributed this statement to Tom Selleck on Ted Danson’s podcast, Where Everybody Knows Your Name: “We’d already taken a 25% cut in salary.” The report places his comment in the context of the cast’s efforts to keep the series going and says cast members wanted to return.

The percentage describes a reduction, not a salary amount. Selleck did not state his pay before or after the cut, and the report does not give individual rates for the rest of the cast. The Daily Beast separately reported in February 2026 that Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg were among cast and producers who accepted the 25% final-season reduction. Neither report establishes what any actor earned in dollars.

How much did Tom Selleck make per episode?

No confirmed per-episode figure is established by the available reporting. In a July 2016 article about Selleck’s return for Season 7, TV Guide said the deal’s figures had not been disclosed, then speculated that he would probably earn more than $200,000 per episode. That is an outlet’s estimate from 2016—not a confirmed contract figure, and not a reliable measure of his pay in later seasons.

Because the estimate was speculative and tied to a 2016 negotiation, it should not be annualized or treated as a current salary. The 25% reduction reported in 2026 cannot be used to calculate a dollar amount without knowing the underlying salary.

What did the Blue Bloods cast earn?

The sources do not provide a verified cast salary list or enough figures to rank the actors’ pay. The evidence supports a distinction between two limited disclosures:

  • Final-season reduction: Selleck said the cast had taken a 25% cut, but did not give salary amounts.
  • Older Selleck estimate: TV Guide’s more-than-$200,000-per-episode figure was explicitly speculative and concerned his Season 7 deal in 2016.

These are different kinds of information: one is an attributed statement about a percentage reduction, the other an old estimate. Neither establishes the cast’s individual earnings. Verified personal net worth totals are also not provided by these sources, and a person’s net worth would not be the same thing as salary from this series.

Why was the show’s financial context discussed?

Blue Bloods was a CBS crime drama about Frank Reagan and a multigenerational family of New York law-enforcement officers. CBS lists 14 seasons, and its finale preview describes the series as spanning 14 years and 293 episodes. The finale episode guide lists “End of Tour” on December 13, 2024; the preview page’s air date is December 14, 2024.

The Daily Beast reported that CBS cited the high cost of retaining cast and crew in the cancellation context. That reporting offers budget context, but it does not show that actor salaries alone caused the cancellation. The show’s long run and audience size do not reveal the terms of individual contracts.

Where can you verify the series details?

CBS’s official Blue Bloods page provides the series description, season and episode information, and streaming details. CBS’s series-finale preview describes the 14-year, 293-episode run. Neither page publishes cast salary figures. For Selleck’s broader life and career rather than his Blue Bloods pay, CBS also listed an interview about his memoir, You Never Know.
