Solana is a blockchain network that can move tokens between wallets and support payment integrations. Remittix describes a service that converts a sender’s cryptocurrency into fiat and pays it into a recipient’s bank account. They operate at different layers: one is a payment rail; the other is a proposed conversion-and-payout service.
How the payment flows differ
| Question | Solana | Remittix |
|---|---|---|
| What is it? | A blockchain network and payment ecosystem for on-chain token transfers and merchant integrations. Solana payment documentation | A project describing a service that converts cryptocurrency to fiat and routes a bank payout. Remittix website |
| What does the sender use? | A wallet signs a transfer of SOL or a supported token. The precise flow depends on the selected integration and asset. | Remittix says the sender connects a crypto wallet and funds the payment with cryptocurrency. |
| What does the recipient receive? | The specified token at a wallet address. Receiving fiat requires a separate conversion or payout service. | The advertised endpoint is a fiat transfer to a bank account through local payment networks. This describes the intended service, not independently verified performance. |
| Where does integration happen? | In wallet, merchant, or business software, using a payment component, API, Solana Pay, or direct RPC. | Remittix says its platform handles conversion and payout; the live technical and banking integrations have not been independently verified. |
What paying with Solana involves
Solana payments can be implemented in several ways rather than through one universal checkout product. Its payment documentation lists PaymentButton for React apps, Pay.sh for paid APIs and subscriptions, Solana Pay for QR codes and payment links, and direct RPC for custom flows. The broader Solana Developer Platform (SDP) describes on-chain transfers, batch payments, public payment requests, and fiat on- and off-ramps through partners. Solana Developer Platform
Merchant tracking and reconciliation
SDP’s acceptance overview says it indexes inbound transfers and supports status reads and balance checks. It also says SDP does not provide a checkout session or payment-intent object, or settlement webhooks. A builder using SDP may therefore need to match transfers to customers or orders by address and poll for status. These limitations apply to SDP’s described acceptance API; they should not be generalized to every Solana payment integration. SDP acceptance overview
What Remittix says it does
Remittix presents a crypto-to-fiat flow: the sender funds a payment with cryptocurrency, while the recipient is meant to receive fiat in a bank account without handling the originating crypto. The service would need to manage conversion and arrange a payout through local payment networks. The available information does not independently establish which payout partners or banking integrations are operating.

Fees, currency coverage, and timing claims
Remittix advertises coverage in more than 30 currencies, “Zero FX fees,” a flat fee, and same-day processing. These are company claims, not independently confirmed coverage, total pricing, or settlement statistics. A claim of zero FX fees alone would not establish the total cost: a sender should still check the quoted fee, exchange rate, and any other charges before paying. Remittix website
Availability needs a current check
Remittix’s surfaced roadmap includes stages for a wallet beta and full wallet, a testnet, and a full product launch. Its site also contains inconsistent promotional and roadmap language, so a banner or presale counter alone cannot establish whether a particular payout service is live. Confirm current product availability and supported corridors directly before relying on it. Remittix roadmap

Neither approach can be called cheaper or faster on the available comparable evidence. The total result depends on the asset, integration, conversion, destination, and whether the recipient can access the money in the form delivered. Check the complete payment path rather than comparing a blockchain transfer with a bank payout as if they were identical services.

- Recipient access: Will the recipient accept a wallet transfer and be able to use the token, or do they need fiat deposited to a bank?
- Availability: For a bank payout, confirm that the recipient’s country, currency, and corridor are supported and that the service is currently operational.
- Total cost: Compare network and token fees, integration charges, conversion rate or FX spread, and any payout fees. Request the amount the recipient will actually receive.
- Time to completion: Check the expected time to final wallet receipt or bank credit, not just a network confirmation or advertised processing window.

- Implementation needs: Merchants should account for checkout, transfer matching, status monitoring, and customer support as well as the underlying transfer.
