PEI-Genesis announced on November 15, 2024, that it had signed a distribution agreement with XMA Corporation and would serve as an authorized global distributor for XMA’s advanced RF solutions. The agreement adds six categories of RF components to PEI-Genesis’ portfolio; it does not publish product-level specifications, prices or test results.
Which XMA products will PEI-Genesis distribute?
The announcement names these categories:
- RF attenuators: reduce signal power by a specified amount.
- RF terminations: provide a load at the end of an RF line or unused port.
- Power dividers/combiners: divide a signal among paths or combine signals.
- Couplers: sample or direct a portion of an RF signal.
- Equalizers: compensate for frequency-dependent signal variation.
- DC blocks: pass RF while blocking direct current.
These are functional descriptions of the component categories, not specifications for any particular XMA part. PEI-Genesis and XMA would need to confirm a component’s frequency range, attenuation or coupling value, power handling, connector interface, availability and lead time against its datasheet and application.
What applications does the partnership target?
XMA’s stated focus includes space, aerospace and defense, quantum computing and cryogenics, telecommunications including 5G, and test and measurement. PEI-Genesis said the agreement would extend its sales support into emerging areas such as cryogenics, quantum computing and 5G RF applications, complementing its interconnect business.
For an engineer or sourcing team, those sectors identify intended markets, not blanket certification or suitability for every use. The announcement does not specify which products are space-qualified, give operating temperature limits for cryogenic use, or provide RF performance data for 5G or other frequencies. Confirm those requirements for the exact part before selection.

How does XMA describe its component design?
XMA says it uses a thin-film process and designs each coaxial component with an in-house manufactured thin-film chip. Its description says the chip’s resistive element is thermally anchored to the component mount to support signal integrity. The announcement provides no measurements or comparative test results for that design, so it should be treated as a description of XMA’s approach rather than proof of performance in a particular system.
What the announcement establishes—and what it leaves open
EE Times reported the agreement on November 15, 2024. It identifies PEI-Genesis as an authorized global distributor for XMA solutions and lists the product categories and target industries. It does not state prices, part numbers, numerical electrical limits, certifications, inventory, shipping times or purchasing terms.

PEI-Genesis is described as an interconnect-solution assembler headquartered in Philadelphia, with production facilities in Philadelphia, South Bend, Southampton and Zhuhai and sales offices across the Americas, Europe and Asia. XMA is identified as an Amphenol company focused on passive RF solutions, including cryogenic, high-frequency and space-oriented products. The announcement’s company-description claims about being among the fastest assemblers or holding the largest inventory are not independently measured statistics.
To evaluate a candidate component, ask PEI-Genesis or XMA for the relevant datasheet and confirm frequency range, required attenuation or coupling, power handling, temperature limits, space qualification if needed, connector/interface, stock and lead time.
