One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchIn the U.S. used market, a working LG Q7-family phone appeared for roughly $35–$70 in marketplace listings checked on August 16, 2026. That is a snapshot of asking prices—not a guaranteed sale price—and the exact model, carrier compatibility, battery, condition, shipping, and return terms matter more than the headline figure. The Q7 is discontinued; if you are set on one, the Q7+ is usually the better buy when it costs only a little more.
What did the LG Q7 cost at launch?
LG launched the standard Q7 in South Korea in June 2018 at ₩495,000 and the higher-specification Q7+ at ₩572,000. The Q7 was specified with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage; the Q7+ had 4GB and 64GB. LG’s Korean releases confirm those prices and configurations: LG’s Q7 launch announcement and LG U+’s launch announcement.
Those are Korean launch prices, not a U.S. MSRP. LG said prices would be set locally, and the phone shipped in different regional configurations. The Korean won figure should not be converted into a supposed U.S. list price; exchange rates, taxes, carrier arrangements, and local pricing differ. LG’s regional announcement notes that specifications and features vary by market.
How much does an LG Q7 cost now?
LG discontinued its mobile-phone business in 2021, and its U.S. product page identifies the T-Mobile Q7+ as discontinued. Remaining phones are used, refurbished, old stock, or parts devices, not current LG retail phones. See LG’s mobile-business notice and the U.S. Q7+ product page.

The following ranges are buying judgments based on U.S. marketplace listings checked on August 16, 2026, not a formal valuation or nationwide average. Prices are before tax and shipping.
| Listing type | Observed or suggested range | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Parts-only, cracked, locked, or Wi-Fi-only | Under $30 | Not comparable to a working cellular phone; buy only for parts or a clearly limited use. |
| Basic used Q7 or Q7+ | About $35–$50 | Verify exact model, battery, IMEI status, carrier compatibility, and returns. |
| Refurbished Q7+ | About $50–$60 | “Refurbished” does not establish a standard battery or repair process. |
| Clean used or seller-described unlocked Q7+ | About $60–$70 | Confirm that “unlocked” means compatible with your specific network. |
| Above $70 | Usually poor value | Consider a newer phone unless warranty, condition, and compatibility are unusually strong. |
The listing spread explains why the cheapest result can mislead. Marketplace results included inventory around $34.99, including carrier-specific or Wi-Fi-only devices; a “Good – Refurbished” T-Mobile Q7+ listing was $56.09, described as tested and functional but potentially showing heavy cosmetic wear and carrying no seller returns. A separate used Q7+ advertised as unlocked was around $69.90 plus shipping. These are individual asking prices, and seller claims are not independent verification. Examples: eBay Q7 search results, the $56.09 refurbished listing, and the used Q7+ listing.
A reasonable target for the cheapest sensible purchase is about $35–$45 for a working, compatible standard Q7, or roughly $45–$60 for a Q7+ in comparable condition. Those are editorial buying targets, not guaranteed market rates. Much lower offers may be damaged or restricted; at or above $70, the age-related risks become difficult to justify.

Which version are you buying: Q7, Q7+, or Q7α?
“LG Q7” is a family name, not a promise of one universal specification. The Q7, Q7+, and Q7α were sold in regional and carrier variants. LG’s regional Q7 announcement explicitly cautions that specifications vary by market.

| Variant | Typical distinction | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| LG Q7 | Commonly 3GB RAM and 32GB storage | Check the model and actual configuration; regional versions can differ. |
| LG Q7+ | Commonly 4GB RAM and 64GB storage | Usually the preferable choice if the price premium is modest. |
| LG Q7α | Regional version with differing memory, chipset, or features | Do not assume Q7 or Q7+ specifications apply. |
| U.S. Q7+ Q610TA | T-Mobile-branded U.S. model | Confirm network compatibility even if a seller says it is unlocked. |
| European Q7 LMQ610EM | Market-specific model with a MediaTek chipset and 3GB RAM/32GB user storage | Do not assume U.S. carrier support from the name alone. |
LG’s U.S. page lists the Q610TA with Android 8.1 Oreo, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, a 5.5-inch 2160 × 1080 display, and a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 processor. Its European LMQ610EM page lists 3GB RAM, 32GB user storage, a 1.5GHz MediaTek octa-core chipset, a 13MP rear camera, and microSD expansion up to 256GB. Check the source pages for the model you are considering: U.S. Q610TA specifications and European LMQ610EM specifications.
Is the Q7+ worth paying more for?
Usually, if the difference is small. Its commonly listed 4GB RAM and 64GB storage are more practical than the standard Q7’s 3GB and 32GB, especially because the operating system and apps use some of the advertised storage. But paying extra for a Q7+ does not resolve outdated software, an aged battery, or carrier uncertainty. A $20 premium may be reasonable; it is not a reason to pay near the price of a newer phone.

What matters about the Q7’s specifications in 2026?
- Screen: Listed models have a 5.5-inch FullVision display at 2160 × 1080, with display technology varying by market or carrier. It is compact by modern phone standards and full-HD-class, but the phone’s age affects overall value more than resolution.
- Performance and storage: The U.S. Q7+’s Snapdragon 450 and 4GB RAM are modest by 2026 standards. The standard Q7 often has less memory and storage. Applicable versions support microSD, but card expansion does not make the internal storage or processor faster.
- Software: Launch software was Android Oreo; the U.S. Q7+ page lists Android 8.1. Do not assume a Q7 has current Android or security support. LG’s later three-year OS-update commitment applied to premium phones released in 2019 and later, rather than establishing support for the 2018 Q7 family; see LG’s update-promise announcement. A specific final security-patch date is not established here.
- Battery: Launch coverage lists a 3,000mAh battery, but a phone from 2018 may have significant wear by 2026. The individual handset’s health matters more than its original capacity.
- Durability and extras: LG promoted IP68 protection, MIL-STD 810G testing across 14 categories, DTS:X headphone surround sound, a rear fingerprint reader, and camera features such as QLens on applicable variants. These claims are model-dependent. Original IP68 certification does not show that an old, dropped, repaired, or opened phone remains water-resistant. See LG’s feature announcement.
- Connections: Applicable models offer USB-C and some support microSD, but do not expect current features such as 5G or eSIM. Confirm the exact variant for connectivity details.
Android Oreo may be adequate for an offline music player, a basic Wi-Fi device, or limited secondary use. It is a poor default choice for banking, password management, business, or a primary phone that needs dependable current app and security support. App installation, payment support, and performance can vary, so do not assume a particular current app will work.
Will an LG Q7 work with your U.S. carrier?
Do not treat “unlocked” as equivalent to “works everywhere.” It may mean factory-unlocked, carrier-unlocked, or simply be a seller’s description. Even a phone that accepts another carrier’s SIM may lack the bands, VoLTE provisioning, or certification needed for reliable voice and data service. Carrier policies and requirements can change. Back Market’s guidance likewise advises checking the specific listing’s carrier compatibility rather than relying on lock status alone: carrier compatibility guidance.
- Get the exact model number. Ask whether it is Q610TA, LMQ610EM, or another variant; a family name alone is insufficient.
- Check the IMEI with the carrier. Confirm the phone is eligible for activation and is not reported lost, stolen, or otherwise blocked. Do not rely solely on a seller’s statement.
- Confirm the lock and account status. Ask whether it is paid off and carrier-unlocked, and make sure no activation or account lock remains.
- Verify bands, VoLTE, and certification. Ask your intended carrier to check that exact model against its current requirements, including voice service—not only whether a SIM can be inserted.
- Keep a return route. Buy only when the listing or seller provides a meaningful return window or warranty in case activation fails.
What to check before buying a used Q7
- Identity: Request a clear photo of Settings → About phone and the model label. Match the model to the listing, and confirm RAM and storage where shown.
- IMEI and activation: Ask for the IMEI privately and verify eligibility with the carrier before paying. Confirm the phone can be factory-reset and activated.
- Battery and charging: Ask whether the battery is original or replaced, what replacement was used, and whether the phone shuts down during calls, video, GPS, or mobile data. Check USB-C charging and reject any swollen battery. A refurbishment label is not proof of a new battery.
- Screen and frame: Test for dead pixels, discoloration, touch failures, cracks, and frame damage. Past drops or repairs can also undermine any remaining water resistance.
- Core functions: Test cameras, fingerprint reader, speakers, microphone, SIM detection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and the microSD slot if the model supports it.
- Seller terms: Read the return policy, warranty duration, shipping responsibility, battery disclosure, and whether accessories or a replacement screen are original. Cosmetic grade alone does not describe function or battery health.
A low-priced parts listing is not a bargain for daily use. Marketplace results include cracked and parts-only devices, such as examples at this parts listing and this damaged-device listing; exclude such inventory when comparing functional-phone prices.
When does the LG Q7 make financial sense?
It may suit a tightly limited, low-cost use
Consider one only if the price is low, the specific unit works on your network (if cellular service is needed), and its software limitations fit the use. A backup handset, offline media player, basic Wi-Fi device, or repair project may justify a different standard than a main phone. For emergency use, verify network activation and service rather than assuming an old handset will connect.
It is a poor choice for a primary phone
Skip it if you need current security support, dependable banking or business apps, predictable carrier activation, strong battery life, or several years of use. An older used Android phone with a recent update record, verified VoLTE support, healthier battery, and return protection is generally a safer comparison. A current entry-level phone may cost more upfront but can reduce the risk of paying for a handset that cannot be activated or soon needs repair.
Compare total cost, not just the listing price
Before buying, add shipping, tax, any necessary charger or case, and likely battery or repair costs. Compare that delivered total with a newer refurbished phone that states its carrier compatibility, warranty, return terms, and battery condition. Refurbished marketplaces can be useful when they disclose these details; Back Market’s U.S. marketplace is one place to check, but availability of a Q7 listing is not established here.
