Samsung’s listed screen-repair prices
The inner display is the large screen that folds inside the phone. The outer display is the smaller cover screen visible when the phone is closed. Samsung’s U.S. page lists the following suggested prices; its separate module-replacement category is not the same listing as screen repair.

Prices are from Samsung’s U.S. cracked-screen repair page, checked August 18, 2026. Samsung describes them as suggested prices. They are a useful baseline, not a promise that every device will be repaired for that amount. Samsung directs customers seeking mail-in pricing to a device-specific service request, and foldable-screen mail-in availability does not mean every walk-in location can do the repair.
Why does Samsung show two prices for an inner screen?
Samsung lists inner-display work under two different categories: Screen Repair Pricing and Screen Module Replacement Pricing. The latter is higher—$349 rather than $264 for the Flip3, and $549 rather than $439 for the Fold3. Samsung’s public table does not specify the exact components included in every module replacement, so do not assume the higher price is simply a corrected version of the lower one or infer what assembly is being replaced.

Before authorizing work, ask the provider to identify the category in the estimate and explain what it covers for your device. The final quote can depend on the damage, repair channel and location, and whether other parts are affected.
Check whether the protector—not the display—is damaged
Bubbling or lifting near the crease, scratches limited to the top layer, or faint marks in the protective film may indicate a damaged inner screen protector rather than a broken OLED display. A black, unresponsive display, visible cracks in the panel, or display abnormalities need professional assessment; symptoms alone cannot establish which parts require replacement.

Do not peel off the inner protector yourself. Lifting it can expose the flexible display, and an unsuitable replacement may cause further damage. Asurion says eligible Fold3 and Flip3 owners can seek screen-protector assistance at Samsung-authorized uBreakiFix by Asurion locations. It also says protector replacement is not covered by Samsung Care+ and may carry a fee when the phone is out of warranty. Check eligibility and cost with the service provider before visiting. Other damage can change the estimate
The published screen prices are not complete estimates for phones with additional damage. A bent hinge or frame, liquid exposure, damaged batteries or flex cables, broken back glass, or camera and motherboard problems may require additional work or affect repair eligibility. Tell the technician about the phone’s full history and visible damage, and request the complete estimate after inspection. Do not assume a screen repair restores the phone’s original water resistance unless the provider explicitly says so.

Where to get a quote and arrange repair
- Open Samsung’s cracked-screen repair page and choose the exact model: Galaxy Z Flip3 5G or Galaxy Z Fold3 5G.
- Identify whether the damage is on the inner folding display, the outer cover display, or only the inner protector. If you are unsure, ask for an inspection rather than selecting a full display replacement by assumption.
- Choose a service option if offered and enter the device details to get a device-specific estimate. Samsung provides mail-in pricing through a service request; you can also use its repair request and status portal.
- Check whether a nearby Samsung-authorized uBreakiFix by Asurion location accepts the exact model and type of repair. Call ahead to confirm technician and foldable-part availability, whether the quote is for screen repair or module replacement, and the parts-and-labor warranty.
- If the phone still works, back up accessible data before service. Remove the SIM and any memory card, if present, before shipping or handing over the device.
Asurion describes uBreakiFix as a Samsung-authorized repair provider using Samsung-provided parts, tools and equipment, but availability and eligibility vary by location and device condition. It advertises a one-year parts-and-labor warranty and says most repairs take 45 minutes or less; those are Asurion’s claims, not a guaranteed turnaround for every foldable repair. Parts availability and the specific work can affect timing. Samsung’s cited support information estimates five to seven business days for mail-in repairs, but shipping, inspection, parts and additional work can change actual timing. Check details directly with Asurion and Samsung.

If you do not have active protection
Expect to pay the repair provider’s price for the work you authorize. The Samsung listings range from $99 for Flip3 outer-screen repair to $549 for Fold3 inner screen-module replacement. If a shop quotes a different amount, compare the service category and what the estimate includes rather than comparing headline numbers alone.

If Samsung Care+ or carrier protection was active before the damage
Check your plan’s claim process and the applicable deductible or service fee before booking a repair. Asurion says Samsung Care+ claims involve a nonrefundable deductible or service fee determined by the relevant program and device tier; there is no single amount that applies to every plan. Review the terms for your coverage, enrollment date, device and damage. Protection generally cannot be added after an accident to cover that existing damage.

If the repair is expensive, compare an equivalent replacement
The Fold3 and Flip3 launched in 2021, so an inner-display quote—especially a $439 repair or $549 module replacement for the Fold3—may be a substantial expense for a phone several generations old. That alone does not establish that replacement is cheaper. Compare the final repair estimate with current prices for an equivalent unlocked or carrier-compatible phone, and weigh the device’s condition, remaining software support and the value of its data. Include any extra hinge, frame or other repairs in the comparison.
