Thedex markets cryptocurrency payment processing for businesses, with a gateway, business wallet, OTC trading, and white-label infrastructure. Its website also advertises multiple checkout methods, more than 50 tokens across 15 blockchains, mass payouts, and optional conversion to stablecoins or fiat. These are provider-stated capabilities, not independently verified performance findings. Accepting crypto may add a payment option or reach new customers, but it does not guarantee profit. Before onboarding, get written terms for fees, custody, settlement, supported countries, compliance, and security.
What Thedex offers
Thedex presents itself as business payment infrastructure rather than only a consumer wallet. Its official site describes a crypto-payment gateway, business wallet, OTC desk, and white-label solution. It also advertises payment forms, invoices, payment links and buttons, plugins, API and iFrame integrations, WalletConnect, static wallets, and mass payouts. These features are described by Thedex; the public materials reviewed do not establish their detailed operating terms. Thedex’s website
Clarify what role the provider takes in each product. With self-custody, your business controls the private keys and is responsible for their protection and transaction operations. With custodial processing, a provider may receive or control funds before settlement. A gateway can facilitate checkout without necessarily defining who holds the assets, while white-label infrastructure lets a business present processing functionality under its own brand. The public materials reviewed do not clearly establish which Thedex functions are custodial, where assets are held, or who controls keys and withdrawals. Ask for those details before accepting customer funds.
How a crypto payment works
- Checkout: The customer chooses a cryptocurrency and network offered by the merchant.
- Payment request: The system presents an invoice, address, or QR code with the amount and any expiry rules.
- Transfer: The customer sends funds from a wallet.
- Verification: The provider monitors the blockchain transaction and applies its confirmation and risk rules.
- Conversion, if selected: The payment may be converted into a stablecoin or fiat currency, subject to availability, timing, and charges.
- Settlement: Funds are made available to the merchant under the agreed schedule, net of applicable fees and network costs.
Thedex describes this general flow and says merchants can choose crypto or fiat settlement and automatic stablecoin conversion. Those are vendor claims; the public page does not specify confirmation thresholds or settlement timing for each network. A transaction appearing in a wallet or mempool is not necessarily final. Congestion, the asset and network, required confirmations, provider controls, and the possibility of a chain reorganization can affect when a merchant should release an order. Ask whether zero-confirmation payments are accepted and what happens if a payment is delayed, replaced, or never confirms. Thedex

Supported assets and networks
Thedex says it supports more than 50 tokens across 15 blockchains and names BTC, ETH, USDT, Litecoin, and TON. It also says merchants can request additional tokens. The exact current token and network list is not independently established by the public material reviewed, so request a dated asset matrix before building checkout around a particular coin. Thedex’s supported-asset claims
A token name alone is not enough to specify a payment. USDT, for example, is issued on multiple networks. Confirm the precise network and token contract, whether deposits and withdrawals are supported on it, minimum amount, confirmation policy, conversion availability, and any country restrictions. Make the accepted network unmistakable at checkout: a customer sending an otherwise correct token on the wrong network may face delayed recovery or permanent loss.
Which businesses might use it?
Thedex positions its services for e-commerce, digital products, trading platforms, entertainment and media, SaaS, and Web3 applications. Its site describes recurring crypto billing for SaaS, static wallets for content businesses, gateway payments for trading platforms, and WalletConnect for Web3 applications. The suitability of each feature depends on the merchant’s country, business model, supported assets, and contract terms. Thedex’s business-use descriptions
E-commerce
- Potential fit: An additional international checkout option, invoices or payment links, and possibly stablecoin acceptance.
- Operational concerns: Set rules for order release, exchange-rate changes between checkout and fulfillment, refunds, partial payments, and wrong-network transfers. Crypto refunds generally require a new outgoing transaction rather than reversal through a card network.
Digital products
- Potential fit: Payment links or automated confirmation for digital orders.
- Operational concerns: A confirmed transfer does not establish that a buyer is legitimate or resolve content, sanctions, or fraud obligations. Because a crypto payment may not be reversible, access should be granted only after server-side verification under a defined confirmation policy.
SaaS subscriptions
- Potential fit: Recurring billing and stablecoin settlement, if supported for the chosen asset, jurisdiction, and account.
- Questions to settle: Is each payment separately approved by the customer? Is the subscription price denominated in fiat or crypto? What happens after an insufficient balance, failed payment, cancellation, or refund?
Trading platforms
- Potential fit: Deposits, withdrawals, and mass payouts, which Thedex advertises.
- Operational concerns: These businesses may have substantial AML, sanctions, custody, transaction-monitoring, and reconciliation responsibilities. The provider’s contract should clearly assign each duty rather than assume that using a gateway transfers it.
Invoices, checkout methods, payouts, and conversion
Thedex advertises quick invoices, full invoices, and static wallets, as well as payment forms, buttons, links, iFrame, API, plugins, WalletConnect, and mass payouts. The TechBullion article also describes these payment options. Thedex · TechBullion’s January 30, 2025 article

- Dynamic or quick invoice: Usually the more practical design for a one-time order when amount, expiry, and order reference should be linked. Confirm how late and partial payments are handled.
- Fiat-denominated or full invoice: Can make the customer-facing price clearer, but requires an exchange-rate source, quote timestamp, and expiry policy.
- Static wallet: Can make repeat payments convenient, but may complicate matching a transfer to a customer or order, reconciliation, and privacy. Do not treat an address as a unique invoice unless Thedex documents how it attributes payments.
- Mass payouts: Confirm approval controls, per-transaction and batch limits, supported networks, fees, and what happens when an individual payout fails.
Automatic conversion may reduce the time a merchant holds a volatile asset, but it does not remove risk. Conversion can have a spread or separate fee; a stablecoin can depeg or face issuer, network, or regulatory restrictions; and fiat settlement may take additional time. Ask for the precise conversion rate source, spread, fee, timestamp, and settlement window in writing. Thedex advertises stablecoin conversion but does not publicly establish the exact stablecoins, rates, or charges in the reviewed material. Thedex
Integration: what to verify before launch
Thedex advertises API, plugin, button, payment-link, iFrame, form, static-wallet, and WalletConnect options. The public page reviewed does not provide enough technical detail to specify endpoints, authentication, webhook names, or plugin versions. Obtain current implementation documentation and a test procedure from Thedex rather than relying on generic setup assumptions. Thedex
- Ask whether a sandbox or testnet is available, and how test credentials are issued and revoked.
- Verify webhook signatures, idempotency behavior, retry policy, and how to detect duplicate or delayed events.
- Define invoice expiry, confirmation thresholds, and handling for underpayments, overpayments, late payments, and failed transactions.
- Specify supported assets and networks in checkout, and test wrong-network scenarios.
- Document refund initiation, destination-address verification, and refund currency or exchange-rate rules.
- Require server-side payment verification before fulfilling an order; retain transaction IDs and event logs for reconciliation.
- Set role-based access, key rotation, withdrawal approval controls, and alerting for account or settlement issues.
Before broad rollout, test successful, failed, expired, underpaid, overpaid, duplicate, wrong-network, and refunded payments. Reconcile each test from the customer invoice through the provider dashboard and final settlement record. Start production with a low-value transaction and confirm the observed process matches the contract.
Fees, pricing, and the profit question
No public numeric price list was visible on Thedex’s reviewed official page as of August 18, 2026. The site refers to flexible commissions and acknowledges that conversion, wallet management, or custom integration may involve costs. The TechBullion article’s “zero hidden fees” wording should not be taken to mean that the service is free. Ask sales for a complete written schedule before calculating savings. Request the processing fee, network fee treatment, conversion spread, fiat off-ramp and withdrawal charges, minimum withdrawal, refund costs, monthly or setup charges, white-label license, custom development, OTC spread, foreign-exchange cost, and any custody or account fee. Also confirm which party pays each transaction charge: fee allocation changes who bears a cost, not whether the cost exists.
Whether crypto payments improve profit depends on your own transaction mix, customer demand, pricing, and operating costs. A useful comparison over the same period is:
Net payment benefit = processing savings + incremental gross profit from new customers + operational savings − processor fees − network fees − conversion spread − refund and reconciliation costs − compliance and accounting costs − volatility losses − support and integration costs.
Compare that result with your existing card, bank-transfer, ACH, or local-payment costs. A lower visible processing charge is not enough if conversion, reconciliation, fraud, support, or customer acquisition costs outweigh it. No general provider claim can determine the result for an individual merchant.

Security, custody, and compliance checks
Thedex describes a multilayer account-security system and says transactions are verified through blockchain signatures. These statements do not, by themselves, establish independent audits, custody safeguards, insurance, or account-recovery protections. Blockchain verification can show that a transaction was recorded; it does not prove that a provider account is secure, a payer is legitimate, or funds held with an intermediary are available for withdrawal. Thedex
Ask for the legal entity that will contract with you, where it operates, the custody and key-management model, customer-asset segregation, withdrawal approvals and allowlists, incident-response process, business-continuity plan, account recovery controls, and any independent security assessment. Request evidence rather than relying on descriptions such as “secure.” The official site links to privacy, AML, KYC, and terms pages, but the reviewed material does not independently establish regulatory status or the precise obligations for every merchant and jurisdiction. Thedex policy links and product information
- Verify the provider’s legal name, operating jurisdictions, applicable licenses or registrations, and countries and industries it accepts.
- Clarify KYC/KYB, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, record retention, and which duties remain with the merchant.
- Review data-processing and privacy terms, settlement restrictions, dispute or complaint channels, and termination or withdrawal rights.
- Ask how taxes and transaction records should be reported, but obtain jurisdiction-specific advice from qualified legal and tax professionals.
For U.S. merchants, cryptocurrency acceptance can raise tax, money-transmission, AML, sanctions, consumer-protection, and accounting questions. The answer depends on the business and arrangement; this article does not determine a merchant’s legal or tax obligations.

A verification-based onboarding path
The official site offers “Try now” and “Get started” flows leading to a contact form that requests an email, company website, and Telegram or WhatsApp contact. The steps below are a merchant due-diligence workflow, not a claim about undocumented product screens. Thedex
- Visit Thedex’s official site and use its contact or onboarding route.
- Ask whether your country, industry, and business model are eligible, and obtain the contracting entity and draft agreement.
- Request the fee schedule, custody and withdrawal terms, settlement timetable, supported-country list, and current asset/network matrix.
- Complete KYB/KYC if required, and obtain technical documentation plus sandbox credentials or a documented test-transaction procedure.
- Choose a payment method and configure accepted assets and networks, expiry, confirmation rules, settlement currency, conversion, fee allocation, and refund policy.
- Implement and test webhooks, authentication, duplicate-event handling, payment exceptions, refunds, and reconciliation.
- Run a low-value production payment, verify the resulting settlement and records, and monitor support response before expanding.
How to compare Thedex with alternatives
Compare providers by total cost and operational responsibility, not only by token count. The right comparison depends on whether you want a managed hosted service or control over infrastructure, and on supported jurisdictions, custody, settlement, APIs, refunds, and support.
| Option | What it is positioned to offer | Key comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Thedex | Vendor-marketed gateway, business wallet, OTC, white-label infrastructure, and multiple payment methods. | Obtain written pricing, custody, licensing, settlement, technical, and country details before committing. |
| Coinbase Commerce | Hosted crypto-commerce infrastructure associated with Coinbase. | Check availability, assets, settlement, and current product terms for your jurisdiction. |
| BitPay | Merchant crypto-payment processing and settlement services. | Compare supported countries, assets, fees, settlement currencies, and onboarding requirements. |
| BTCPay Server | Open-source, self-hosted Bitcoin and Lightning payment processor. | More infrastructure control means the merchant must operate and secure the system, wallet, liquidity, and monitoring. |
| NOWPayments | Hosted crypto-payment gateway and payout tools. | Compare fees, custody, conversion, country availability, compliance, and support. |
| CoinPayments | Hosted cryptocurrency payment-processing platform. | Check current supported coins, fees, account requirements, settlement, and merchant protections. |

When to proceed—and when to wait
Thedex may merit consideration if
- You need managed multi-asset checkout, payment forms or invoices, stablecoin conversion, mass payouts, or white-label processing.
- The available integration method fits your technical capacity and the current supported countries include your business.
- The provider can document fees, custody, settlement, security, legal entity, compliance responsibilities, and support commitments to your satisfaction.
Wait or look elsewhere if
- You need public self-serve pricing or complete API documentation before contacting sales.
- You require a self-hosted, non-custodial system or cannot accept provider counterparty and withdrawal risk.
- Your business depends on conventional card chargebacks, guaranteed local fiat settlement, or a regulated arrangement that the provider cannot substantiate.
- You cannot absorb the added work of crypto refunds, accounting, compliance review, and payment exception handling.
The next step is not to assume that a list of advertised features will produce savings or growth. Obtain the contract, fee schedule, technical and asset documentation, and jurisdiction-specific compliance answers; then test the complete payment-to-settlement workflow against your own requirements.
