Fintwist’s general instructions say to activate a new card by phone, not by entering details into a public form at fintwistsolutions.com. Call the number printed on your card first; if it is unavailable, the general activation number in Fintwist’s published instructions is 888-265-8228. You will need an employer-specific activation code—there is no single code for every Fintwist card.
What to have ready
- Your Fintwist card and its 16-digit card number.
- The expiration date on the card and its three-digit security code on the back.
- The activation code specified by your employer or employer-specific Fintwist portal.
- A new four-digit PIN for debit purchases and ATM transactions. Keep it private and do not write it on the card.
Fintwist’s published activation instructions list these details and direct cardholders to remain on the call until the system confirms activation. Telephone prompts and sequence can vary by employer program or system version.

Activate the card by phone
- Call the customer-service or activation number printed on the back of your card. If you cannot use that number, Fintwist’s general published number is 888-265-8228; confirm that it applies to your employer’s card.
- Choose a language when prompted. Fintwist’s published instructions list 1 for English and 2 for Spanish.
- Enter the 16-digit card number. Press # if the system asks you to do so.
- Enter the activation code from your employer’s instructions.
- Choose and enter a four-digit PIN.
- Enter the card’s expiration date and the three-digit security code from its back, following the system’s prompts.
- Stay on the line until the automated system confirms that the card is activated.

Find the right Fintwist activation code
The activation code depends on the employer’s card program. Use the code in your onboarding materials or employer-specific Fintwist portal rather than trying likely combinations.

If your employer’s materials do not say which code to use, contact payroll, HR, or the employer’s card administrator. Do not post your card details, PIN, date of birth, or Social Security number in a comment or send them through an unverified form.
Which number should you call?
Use the number on the card first. Employer programs can have their own support or activation lines. For example, the EmployBridge portal lists 855-219-2497 for its program. Fintwist’s general materials and support information list 888-265-8228, but it is not guaranteed to be the right line for every employer-issued card. Fintwist’s support information and the current Corpay Prepaid contact page retain the general number.

- The code or birthday is rejected: Check your employer’s specific instructions and the required format. If the date is correct but rejected, your employer may have incorrect information on file. EmployBridge’s program instructions say the employer must correct an incorrectly entered birthday.
- The card number or security code is rejected: Recheck the digits and confirm you are using the card associated with your enrollment. A damaged, expired, replaced, or mismatched card may need attention from official support or the employer’s card administrator.
- You are unsure of the PIN: Do not keep guessing. Fintwist’s card-use guidance warns that three incorrect PIN entries can block the card.
- The card may already be active: Do not repeat the process blindly. Check through the official account or app, or call the number on the card to confirm its status.
- Stop after one or two failed code attempts rather than cycling through guesses.
- Review the employer’s onboarding materials or employer-specific Fintwist portal.
- Call the number printed on the card and explain the exact message you heard.
- If the code or personal details appear wrong, contact payroll, HR, or the employer’s card administrator.
- Note the date and time of the call and any case or representative information.
If the card is lost, stolen, or its details may be compromised, activation is not the remedy. Contact official card support promptly and follow the replacement or fraud instructions in your employer’s portal, such as the Modivcare portal.
Confirm activation and finish account setup
The clearest confirmation is the automated message that the card is activated. Stay on the call until you hear it. You can also check status through the official app or account portal, or call the number on the back of the card. Once activation is confirmed, an ordinary small purchase can be another practical check; an ATM balance inquiry is not necessary, and employer guidance warns that ATM balance checks may incur a fee.
Activation makes the card available for use, but it is separate from setting up online access, downloading the mobile app, enabling text alerts, requesting a personalized card, or arranging direct deposit. Those options and account functions depend on the employer program; see the EmployBridge portal for examples.
Use official channels and protect your details
- Enter card details only into the official automated phone system, using a number printed on the card or published by Fintwist, Corpay Prepaid, or your employer.
- Do not share your full card number, security code, PIN, date of birth, or Social Security number in public comments, social media, email, or an unverified website.
- Do not disclose your newly created PIN to another person, including someone claiming to be support.
- Be wary of sites promising instant activation codes. Employer-specific codes come from your employer’s official instructions.
Fintwist materials may still appear under the Fintwist name, while the current Corpay Prepaid contact page says Fintwist is now Corpay Prepaid. Follow the contact details printed on your card and the official instructions for your employer’s program.
