Aldi’s DoorDash grocery delivery launched in Western Australia on 29 July 2025, covering most of the retailer’s 52 WA stores at launch. Aldi listings remained visible on DoorDash when checked on 18 August 2026, but coverage depends on your delivery address and the participating store. It is a DoorDash service, not an Aldi-run online shop, and your final checkout total—not the shelf-price reputation alone—determines whether delivery is good value.
What launched, and what is available now?
Aldi partnered with DoorDash for on-demand and scheduled grocery delivery. DoorDash first announced an Aldi delivery trial in Canberra for 8 July 2025; the WA rollout followed on 29 July 2025. The launch report described coverage at most of Aldi’s 52 WA stores, not every store. DoorDash’s launch announcement and PerthNow’s 28 July 2025 report provide the launch details.
DoorDash Aldi listings were still visible when checked on 18 August 2026, including Kardinya and Hillarys. These examples confirm listings in parts of Perth, not universal coverage across WA. Enter your exact address in DoorDash to see whether a nearby participating store will serve it. The listing, hours, stock and delivery capacity shown for your address are more useful than a static store list.
How to order Aldi delivery in WA
- Open DoorDash on the web or in the app and enter your delivery address.
- Search for Aldi or browse the grocery and convenience listings.
- Select an available Aldi store and check its hours and product selection.
- Add the items you want to your cart. Products and stock can differ by store.
- Choose immediate delivery or a scheduled time if DoorDash offers one. The current Aldi page refers to ASAP delivery and “Schedule Ahead”; wording and options may vary by app, market and availability.
- Review item prices, delivery and service fees, promotions, and any other charges in the checkout total. Set or review substitution preferences where offered.
- Place the order and follow its status in DoorDash. If an item is unavailable, DoorDash may offer a substitution or refund option; the controls can vary by merchant and order. See DoorDash’s grocery-delivery information for an overview.
DoorDash’s Aldi page says pickup is not available for Aldi orders through the platform; the service described here is delivery. Check the Aldi Australia page for the current ordering options.

What can you buy?
At launch, DoorDash described an Aldi range of more than 1,800 products, including fresh food, meat, seafood, dairy, bread and household essentials. DoorDash listings show categories such as fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy and eggs, frozen food, pantry goods, snacks, drinks, bakery, household, personal care, baby and child products, and seafood. The live catalogue for your selected store is the guide to what can actually be ordered.
- Everyday groceries: Core food and household categories are the main purpose of the service, but selection and stock vary by store.
- Special Buys: These time-sensitive products may be limited, unavailable online or already sold out. Do not assume the full in-store Special Buys range will appear in the app.
- Alcohol: Alcohol appears on some Aldi DoorDash listings, but availability is not universal and is subject to store, licensing, age-verification and local-law restrictions. Check the listing and checkout rules for your address.
What does Aldi delivery cost?
There is no single WA-wide delivery price established by the available listings. DoorDash store pages showed a $0 delivery-fee offer for a first order when checked, but that is a promotional signal, not a standing promise that every customer or order qualifies. The launch offers announced in 2025 were time-limited and should not be treated as current discounts.

Before paying, inspect the live checkout. Delivery fees can change with distance, demand, store and promotions; a service fee or other charge may still apply when the delivery fee is zero. Offers can have eligibility rules, minimum spends or expiry dates. Product prices shown on DoorDash may also differ from in-store prices. For a concrete example of the listing-level promotion signal, see this DoorDash Aldi store page; its display is not a universal price quote.
Small, urgent orders are especially sensitive to fixed or percentage-based charges: fees can take a larger share of a small basket. Compare the full amount due, including any promotion and all fees, rather than treating a free-delivery label as a free order.

Is Aldi still cheaper after DoorDash fees?
There is no current, like-for-like delivered-basket comparison established here, so it would be misleading to promise that Aldi is always cheaper after delivery. Aldi’s low-price positioning may still make some baskets attractive, but fees and any platform price differences can narrow or erase the product-price advantage.
For a useful comparison with another retailer, match the basket as closely as possible: same or equivalent products, quantities and pack sizes; same delivery address and time; and the same treatment of promotions, substitutions, delivery fees, service fees and any membership cost. Compare the final checkout totals, not one store’s shelf prices with another store’s delivered price.

Why the DoorDash deal matters to supermarket competition
The partnership gives Aldi a delivery channel without requiring shoppers to visit a store, broadening its appeal to non-drivers, people with mobility constraints, time-poor households and customers making top-up purchases. It also gives DoorDash another major grocery retailer on its platform. The trade-off is that the platform adds a layer of fees, availability rules and substitution decisions between Aldi’s range and the customer.
PerthNow’s July 2025 launch report placed the deal alongside online competition from Coles and Woolworths and reported half-year online-sales growth of 22.6% for Coles and 20% for Woolworths for the reporting period discussed at the time. Those are historical figures, not current 2026 growth rates. The report also noted that Coles and Woolworths were on DoorDash and that Costco had partnered with DoorDash for same-day bulk-goods delivery in Australian cities. Aldi’s move is part of a broader contest over convenience as well as price; it does not, on its own, establish which retailer offers the cheapest delivered basket.
