GeekWire reported two separate Seattle-area technology leadership changes on November 4, 2024: Qualtrics appointed Rachita Sundar chief financial officer and an executive leadership-team member, while F5 moved Kunal Anand from chief technology officer to chief innovation officer. The report is a historical personnel roundup; it does not establish either executive’s current title in 2026.
Qualtrics appoints Rachita Sundar as CFO
Qualtrics named Rachita Sundar chief financial officer and added her to its executive leadership team, according to GeekWire’s November 4, 2024 report. She was to be based in Seattle.
Her finance background
Sundar joined Qualtrics from HubSpot, where she was senior vice president of finance. Before HubSpot, she spent 13 years at Microsoft and rose to senior finance director of Microsoft U.S. “Microsoft vet” therefore describes a finance career, not a Microsoft product or engineering role.
What Qualtrics does
The report described Qualtrics as an experience-management software company with headquarters in Seattle and Provo, Utah. Its survey and related technologies help organizations collect customer and employee feedback for business decisions. The article did not disclose Sundar’s effective date, predecessor, compensation, or a specific acquisition, growth, or restructuring mandate.

What is—and is not—known about her status
The 2024 report confirms the appointment as announced at that time. It does not verify whether Sundar remains Qualtrics CFO in 2026, and no current status should be inferred from the archived announcement alone.
F5 shifts Kunal Anand into innovation leadership
F5 moved Kunal Anand internally from chief technology officer to chief innovation officer. In the new role, he was expected to lead F5’s product organization, while the company planned to hire a new CTO, GeekWire reported.
Anand’s experience
Anand joined F5 in April 2024 from Imperva, where he had spent more than five years leading technical and security teams. The change was a reassignment of an existing F5 executive, not an announcement that he had newly joined the company as innovation chief.
Why F5 described the change
F5 CEO François Locoh-Donou cited Anand’s experience across cloud, security, networking, software as a service and artificial intelligence as relevant to executing the company’s product roadmap. The report did not define a separate reporting line, product portfolio, or whether the innovation-chief position would continue after 2024.

Separate CFO appointment and 2024 business context
F5 also named Cooper Werner chief financial officer in a separate leadership change. In the same 2024 reporting context, F5 posted quarterly revenue of $747 million, up 6% year over year, and GAAP net income of $165 million, up more than 8%; its stock was reported up more than 10% after the earnings announcement. F5 also confirmed layoffs affecting less than 2% of its global workforce. Those figures describe that period and are not current 2026 metrics.
F5 was described as a Seattle-based application-security and application-delivery company serving cloud, security, networking, SaaS and AI markets. The available report does not confirm who ultimately filled the CTO opening or Anand’s present-day title.
