An 8GB/256GB version was announced at $129. It is a 4G budget phone built around MediaTek’s Helio G81-Ultra, with a 6.88-inch 120Hz-capable LCD, 5,160mAh battery and expandable storage. The $109 figure was a launch promotion, not a guaranteed permanent price in every country.
Price and availability
Gadgets 360 reported the following global launch prices:
| Configuration | Launch price | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| 6GB RAM + 128GB storage | $109 | Early-bird global launch price |
| 8GB RAM + 256GB storage | $129 | Early-bird global launch price |
Those amounts should not be treated as a universal current MSRP. Xiaomi’s UK Christmas-sale terms listed the 6GB/128GB phone at £139 before a temporary £119 reduction, while Colombian terms listed 6GB/128GB at COP549,900 and 8GB/256GB at COP599,900 before promotional reductions. Availability, taxes, warranty and package contents vary by country. The reviewed launch coverage did not establish a U.S.-specific official listing, so U.S. buyers should verify import status, LTE compatibility, VoLTE support, warranty and returns before ordering.
Global launch colors were reported as Black, Gold and Green. Regional configurations may differ.

What the Helio G81-Ultra means in daily use
The chipset is designed for basic smartphone workloads: messaging, browsing, streaming, social applications and light multitasking. It is not a high-performance gaming platform. Demanding games may require reduced settings, and the phone lacks a gyroscope for some motion-sensitive games and applications.

- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
Storage is an important qualification. The C75 uses eMMC 5.1 rather than UFS storage, so app launches, updates and large file transfers can feel slower than on budget phones with faster storage. “Up to 16GB RAM” in Xiaomi’s messaging includes memory extension; the handset has either 6GB or 8GB of physical LPDDR4X RAM, not 16GB.
Display: smooth scrolling, lower sharpness
The 6.88-inch panel supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate, which can make scrolling and compatible animations look smoother. Refresh behavior can vary with software, battery settings and individual apps.

Its 1640 × 720 HD+ resolution is the compromise behind the large, inexpensive screen: text and fine graphics are less sharp than on a Full HD display. Xiaomi lists 450 nits typical brightness and 600 nits in High Brightness Mode; 600 nits is not a sustained full-screen rating. The panel also offers up to 240Hz touch sampling, DC dimming, 1500:1 contrast, 70% NTSC coverage and TÜV Rheinland low-blue-light and flicker-free certifications. It does not support HDR or an always-on display.
Cameras: adequate hardware, limited ambition
The 50MP f/1.8 main camera includes phase-detection autofocus and records up to 1080p at 30fps. The secondary rear hardware is an auxiliary QVGA/depth-style sensor rather than a versatile ultrawide or telephoto camera. The 13MP f/2.0 front camera also records 1080p/30fps and includes a soft-light ring feature.
Rank #4
There is no optical image stabilization, and slow-motion recording is not supported. The 50MP label describes sensor resolution, not guaranteed image quality; the setup is best viewed as a daylight budget-phone camera rather than a photography-focused system.
Battery, charging and what is in the box
A 5,160mAh battery should appeal to buyers who prioritize capacity, but standardized endurance testing is needed to quantify runtime. Charging is limited to 18W, which is modest by current standards. Xiaomi’s Singapore documentation says an adapter is not included there and recommends an 18W USB Power Delivery-compatible charger. Box contents are market-specific, so check the local listing before purchase.

Connectivity and software limitations
The C75 is the 4G model using the Helio G81-Ultra. Xiaomi explicitly says it does not support 5G. Listed LTE bands include 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28/66 and TDD 38/40/41, but bands can vary by region and carrier; a listed band set does not guarantee compatibility with every U.S. or other national network.
It has dual SIM support alongside a dedicated microSD slot, Wi-Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, a headphone jack, side fingerprint reader, face unlock and FM radio. NFC availability is regional. Xiaomi lists a virtual proximity sensor and no gyroscope. HyperOS based on Android 14 supports features such as Dual apps, while Xiaomi’s FAQ says the phone lacks split-screen mode, Second Space and always-on display. No reliable update-duration promise was established, so buyers should not assume a specific Android or HyperOS support period.
Is it a Redmi 14C in POCO branding?
Notebookcheck described the C75 as closely related to, or effectively a rebranded version of, the Redmi 14C. That is secondary reporting, not an official POCO identity claim. Compare the processor, display, cameras, battery, software branding, price, warranty and LTE bands in your market rather than assuming every Redmi 14C and C75 variant is identical. NFC, charger inclusion and storage or memory options can change by region.
Who should consider the POCO C75?
Good fit
- Basic users who want a very large screen and high battery capacity.
- Students, secondary-phone buyers and people who do not need 5G.
- Anyone who values a dedicated microSD slot or 3.5mm headphone jack.
- Buyers who can obtain the 8GB/256GB version at a sensible local price.
Reasons to choose another phone
- You need 5G for longer-term network compatibility.
- You play demanding games or rely on a gyroscope.
- You expect fast app loading and file transfers from UFS storage.
- You want a sharp Full HD display, faster charging or stabilized photography.
- Your local version lacks compatible LTE bands, NFC or an included charger.
Bottom line on the $109 POCO C75
The POCO C75 delivered unusually large-screen, high-capacity-battery hardware at a compelling launch price, but the value depends on the exact deal. The $109 offer applied to the 6GB/128GB model as an early-bird price; it was not a permanent worldwide price. In exchange for the low cost, you accept HD+ resolution, eMMC storage, entry-level performance, 18W charging, basic cameras and 4G-only networking. It makes sense for straightforward everyday use when those compromises—and your region’s bands, warranty and box contents—are acceptable.
