Vida’s July 2, 2024 announcement introduced a platform and API for telecom service providers to offer AI voice agents to small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers. It is business software distributed through telecom channels—not a consumer phone product. Vida says providers can also use the agents in their own operations, or combine both approaches.
What is Vida’s AI voice agent platform?
Vida describes its platform as a way for telecom providers to add customizable AI voice agents to services for SMBs. In its launch announcement, the company said those agents could handle customer-service calls and texts, qualify leads, schedule appointments and support sales. The intended channel is the telecom provider, which may package or resell the service to business customers.
At launch, Vida said its conversational system used leading large language models from OpenAI, Meta, Anthropic and Mistral, and that agents could be customized, including with a user’s own voice. These are Vida’s launch-era descriptions, not the results of an independent technical audit.
How does Vida work with telecom providers?
Offer agents to business customers
A provider can offer agents to its SMB customers as a managed service, according to Vida’s current telecom positioning. This model gives the provider a potential way to add an AI service to its business communications offering.

Use agents in the provider’s own operations
Vida also describes using agents for the provider’s own support and provisioning workflows. Providers could serve their customers with agents, use them internally, or do both.
Connect through telecom infrastructure
Vida said its voice stack integrates over Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) with existing telecom networks and business phone systems. Its current telecom page describes SIP trunk and direct inward dialing (DID) integration, SMS routes, and usage-based billing aligned with a provider’s rate model. These are vendor-described capabilities; providers should confirm technical compatibility and commercial terms for their own systems.

What can Vida’s AI agents do?
Vida’s current telecom materials describe agents that can answer or route calls, send follow-ups and appointment confirmations, share payment links, handle tier-one support and billing inquiries, and automate provisioning or onboarding. The launch announcement also named lead qualification, scheduling and sales alongside customer-service calls and texts.
These are described use cases, not independently verified results. Vida’s launch CEO, Lyle Pratt, said the agents could help businesses improve service quality and efficiency; the company materials reviewed do not independently demonstrate those outcomes.

What does the Telinta integration show?
On June 1, 2026, Vida announced that Telinta had integrated Vida AI agent technology into its TeliCore platform for internet telephony service providers (ITSPs). The release describes agents handling inbound calls using an end user’s knowledge base and CRM data, sending SMS links during calls, placing outbound calls and automatically returning missed calls. It is an example of partner distribution, not independent evidence of performance.
The same dated announcement described a Vida platform-fee discount for Telinta customers during the first three months of a $500-per-month plan, plus a separate Telinta invoice discount. Those were promotional terms announced at that time; the release does not establish that either offer is available now.

What should telecom buyers verify?
Vida’s materials outline a product direction, but they do not provide independent comparative results or verified customer-outcome data. Providers evaluating the platform can use the following questions to test fit:
- Deployment scope: Will agents serve end customers, support the provider’s own operations, or do both?
- Telecom compatibility: Do the proposed SIP trunks, DIDs and SMS routes work with the provider’s network, hosted PBX and business phone setups?
- Partner model: Are multi-tenant or white-label controls needed? Who owns the customer relationship, and how are support responsibilities divided?
- Economics: Does usage-based billing fit the provider’s pricing and billing model? Confirm rates, contract terms and any customer-facing charges directly.
- Operational oversight: How will the provider measure answer quality, escalation rates, latency and missed-call recovery? What human review or escalation path will be available?
What is established—and what is not
The July 2024 launch establishes that Vida announced a telecom-oriented platform and API for providers serving SMBs, with SIP integration and a range of proposed call, messaging and business-workflow uses. The later Telinta announcement shows one partner integration into TeliCore. Both are company announcements and descriptions. The materials reviewed do not establish independent results for efficiency, service quality, revenue, security, compliance or customer satisfaction, nor do they provide a verified ranking against competing platforms.

Vida’s launch release also attributed the claim that “81% of SMBs say AI will be critical to their businesses’ success over the next two years” to the Connected Commerce Council. The release did not identify the underlying study’s title, publication date, sample or fieldwork, so the figure should not be treated as a verified survey result or assigned a survey year.
