No. FolderFort’s advertised 2TB “lifetime” deal for $109.97 ended on April 27, 2025. The promotion is not a current offer, and its code should not be treated as valid. FolderFort’s current pages describe a different service: Folder Fort 2.0, with recurring plans and conditional terms for eligible people moving from lifetime accounts.
What the 2025 FolderFort offer included
A PCMag partner article syndicated by Yahoo Tech on April 20, 2025 advertised 2TB of FolderFort storage for $109.97, compared with a stated regular price of $499. It promoted code SECURE2TB and gave an April 27, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT deadline. Those are historical promotional claims, not current pricing or an available discount. Yahoo Tech’s syndicated article.
The promotion described browser access, file organization, shareable links, workspace invitations, and 1GB free portions for added users. Those details describe the historical offer; they do not establish that every feature remains available today or that FolderFort is interchangeable with Google Drive.
What FolderFort offers now—and what “lifetime” means
FolderFort’s current pricing page lists Personal storage tiers of 100GB, 200GB, and 1TB, and a Business option with 1TB included in the pricing-page snapshot. Pricing and plan allowances can change, so check the current FolderFort pricing page for the terms shown when you sign up.

FolderFort’s official site says Folder Fort Classic closes on November 16, 2026. Its current pricing and migration pages describe Folder Fort 2.0 as a paid subscription, with lifetime space added only under qualifying conversion terms. Eligibility and deadlines apply; consult the migration information and your account’s offer details rather than assuming that a prior lifetime purchase automatically gives you the current service on identical terms.
The company’s terms define “lifetime” as the lifetime of the product, not the customer’s lifetime. They also reserve the ability to change or remove features and say new features may require separate payment. In practical terms, a one-time payment does not guarantee that a hosted service, its features, or its current plan structure will exist unchanged forever. Read the applicable FolderFort terms, including the terms you accepted for your specific offer.

How to assess a one-time cloud-storage deal
A lifetime-style price can be attractive if you expect to use the service for years, but comparing it with a subscription requires more than dividing one price by another. Compare the options over the period you realistically expect to keep using them, and include the possibility that you may need to move files if the service changes.
- Total cost: Compare the full cost over your likely holding period, including any recurring fees, conversion payments, or charges for features you need.
- Capacity and transfer limits: Check storage limits and any bandwidth, upload, or download restrictions. A 2TB headline alone does not tell you whether the plan suits your usage.
- Workflow: Confirm that sharing, collaboration, device access, and compatibility meet your needs. The historical FolderFort promotion’s feature list is not proof of current Google Drive-equivalent functionality.
- Exit and recovery: Find out how you can retrieve or export your files, recover account access, and respond if a plan or service changes.
- Privacy and security: Read the provider’s current security and privacy explanations, and distinguish company descriptions from independent verification.
This comparison matters especially if the storage holds the only copy of important files. Hosted storage availability and a separate backup are different things; consider how you would retain access to your data if your account or the service became unavailable.

What FolderFort says about security and data
FolderFort says it encrypts files with authenticated AES-256-GCM before they reach object storage, gives each file a unique 256-bit key, and uses TLS 1.3 for data in transit. These are the company’s descriptions, not results of an independent security audit. See the FolderFort encryption information.
FolderFort’s privacy policy says it stores uploaded files and related metadata, including file names, sizes, and folder structure, to provide the service. It identifies service providers for infrastructure—including Backblaze—as well as payment processing, email, support, and analytics, and says information is shared as needed for those services. The policy also says FolderFort does not sell personal information. Review the current FolderFort privacy policy and applicable terms before uploading sensitive files.
