Can it protect plants from frost and cold?
It can offer a buffer from cool conditions, but a greenhouse without supplemental heat can still get cold enough for frost-sensitive plants to suffer. A sunny day may also warm the interior substantially, while a clear night can bring rapid heat loss. The actual conditions depend on your climate, the greenhouse’s sun exposure, crop tolerance, thermal mass, ventilation, and how securely the structure is installed.

When comparing other models, verify the panel thickness, number and adjustability of roof vents, door access, base and anchoring approach, and the height available for plants and worktables on the listing for your region.

Installation, wind, and snow considerations
Assembly is required. Outsunny recommends positioning the greenhouse against a wall and out of the wind. Its regional guidance says two people should allow roughly four hours for assembly and warns that the unit is not designed for extreme weather such as heavy snow. Treat those as manufacturer guidance, not a guarantee of performance at a particular site.
The U.S. 6′ x 8′ specification lists a stated wind resistance of 12 m/s and a stated weight capacity of 8.19 lb/ft². These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results, and should not be read as assurance that the greenhouse is suitable for every exposure or snow load. Check the exact regional model’s instructions and specifications, prepare a stable site, and secure the base using the prescribed method. If your location regularly experiences heavy snow or strong winds, consider whether a structure not designed for extreme weather is suitable there.
