Check Point completed its acquisition of Veriti Cybersecurity on June 9, 2025, paying approximately $92.5 million in total consideration, according to its SEC filing. The strategic aim was to add automated, preemptive remediation across customers’ varied security systems—not merely another tool for finding vulnerabilities.
What Check Point acquired Veriti to do
Veriti, founded in 2021, built a preemptive exposure-management platform. It is designed to identify and prioritize security exposures, then apply protections across the systems an organization already uses. Check Point said the acquisition would strengthen its prevention-first strategy and its open-garden approach to security within the Infinity Platform.
The practical distinction is between reporting a risk and helping reduce it. A vulnerability scanner can flag a weakness; Veriti’s stated role is to connect that finding to an available control and apply a compensating protection while teams address the underlying issue.
How Veriti is intended to reduce attack surface
Virtual patching across security vendors
Veriti can use vulnerability findings from tools such as CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Rapid7 to apply compensating protections through connected security controls. This is intended to reduce the period of exposure while a conventional software patch is pending. Virtual patching does not install the vendor’s software fix; it places a protective control around the vulnerability.

- Backup recommended – To ensure continuous access, register a backup Clife security key as a spare in case your primary key is lost.
Threat-intelligence enforcement
The platform can verify indicators from connected tools and orchestrate protections through firewalls, endpoints, web application firewalls, and cloud platforms. The aim is to turn threat intelligence into enforcement using controls an organization already has.
Integrations and cloud findings
Check Point said in 2025 that Veriti connected with more than 70 security vendors through an API-based architecture and did not require agents. It can also ingest cloud-exposure findings from Wiz, including vulnerable or unpatched cloud servers and applications, and enable virtual patching through Check Point gateways or other vendors’ controls.

Context-aware remediation
Veriti evaluates exposures, configurations, and existing protections before applying controls. Check Point describes this as a way to reduce operational risk while remediating; the stated goal is to avoid disrupting production systems.
What preemptive exposure management means
Exposure management brings together visibility into assets and weaknesses with prioritization and action. “Preemptive” in Veriti’s case refers to acting on an exposure before it becomes an incident—for example, applying a compensating control when a vulnerable system has been identified, rather than waiting for a complete patch cycle or an attack.

That approach depends on integration: findings need enough context to identify relevant protections, and remediation must be compatible with the organization’s environment. Veriti’s announced capabilities span cloud, datacenter, endpoint, and other connected systems, but the breadth of integrations alone does not establish how effectively a particular customer’s environment will be covered.
How Veriti fits into Check Point Infinity
When Check Point announced the deal, it said Veriti’s capabilities would be integrated into the Infinity Platform as part of Threat Exposure and Risk Management, alongside External Risk Management. In January 2026, Check Point announced Exposure Management, powered by Cyberint, Veriti, and Check Point threat visibility. The offering brings together threat intelligence, dark-web insights, attack-surface visibility, exploitability context, and automated remediation.

Check Point announced a definitive agreement to acquire Veriti on May 27, 2025. Its SEC filing records that the transaction closed on June 9, 2025, for approximately $92.5 million in total consideration. That figure is the reported transaction consideration, not a recurring software price.

The deal adds a mechanism for automating remediation across a mixed security environment: connect exposure findings and threat intelligence to existing enforcement controls, then apply context-aware protections. For organizations assessing exposure-management products, relevant comparison points include how quickly a product can remediate, which third-party tools it integrates with, whether it covers cloud and on-premises systems as well as endpoints, what safeguards it uses to limit disruption, and how it connects intelligence to enforcement.
Check Point’s announcements describe capabilities and product direction, but the available transaction and product materials do not provide independent statistics on attack-surface reduction, remediation-time improvements, customer outcomes, or return on investment. Those results should not be inferred from the acquisition or the vendor’s feature claims.
