Salesforce Financial Services Cloud for Insurance Brokerages is a brokerage-focused set of CRM and workflow capabilities built on eligible Financial Services Cloud editions—not a free, stand-alone operating system. Salesforce lists tools for policy administration, client accounts, producer commissions and agency billing. The brokerage add-on is shown at $0, but underlying licenses, implementation, integrations and credit usage can add to the cost.

What the brokerage product is designed to do

Salesforce positions the offering as a shared workspace for producers and account managers, built on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud foundations. It adds brokerage-specific records and workflows to Financial Services Cloud so teams can manage client relationships alongside policies, commissions and billing.

Salesforce Help describes data models for policies, coverages, benefits, eligibility, rates, contributions, producer splits and commissions. Those capabilities can support operational processes, but their presence does not establish that a brokerage can use them without configuration, clean data, implementation work or suitable integrations.

What Salesforce lists as included

Salesforce’s pricing comparison groups the capabilities into five areas:

Workflow area Listed capabilities
Client account management Broker of Record Tracker, Insurance Service Console, Action Plans and Discovery Framework
Employee benefits Policy Lifecycle Manager, Plan Rate Calculator, Plan Contribution Tracker and Plan Benefit Tracker
Property and casualty Policy Lifecycle Manager and Claim Tracker
Commissions and revenue Producer Split Manager, Direct Bill Commission Processor and Expected Revenue Tracker
Agency billing Policy Lifecycle Services, Billing Configuration, Transaction Breakdown, Invoicing, Payment Runs, General Ledger Tracking and Collections

The feature list describes available product capabilities, not a guarantee that every item is enabled in every account or will match a brokerage’s processes as delivered. Salesforce says availability depends on edition and enabled features; confirm the applicable entitlements and configuration with Salesforce.

How pricing and credits work

On the Salesforce pricing page reviewed on September 28, 2026, Financial Services Cloud for Insurance Brokerages is listed as a $0 add-on SKU with eligible Financial Services Cloud editions. The same page lists 10 brokerage credits per user per month, shared across the organization, and additional credits at $10,000 per 1,000 credits. Salesforce says pricing is subject to change and directs buyers to a sales representative for detailed pricing: Financial Services Cloud for Insurance Brokerages Pricing.

The $0 figure applies to the brokerage add-on, not necessarily to the deployment. The total depends on the underlying Financial Services Cloud and Sales or Service licenses, implementation, integrations, other add-ons and credit consumption. The listed credit allowance is shared organizationally; it should not be read as 10 credits reserved for each user. Ask Salesforce to confirm current edition names, eligibility, credit treatment and contract terms for your proposed configuration.

Integration and operational fit to verify

Salesforce Help cautions that brokers may manually maintain their own data to mirror carrier records when carrier and broker systems are not integrated. That is a material implementation question: automation inside the CRM does not by itself establish that policy and billing information will flow automatically between a brokerage, carriers and accounting systems.

  • Which carrier, policy-administration and accounting systems must exchange information?
  • Are supported connectors or data-exchange paths available for those exact systems and versions?
  • What data must be migrated, mapped or cleaned, and who owns ongoing reconciliation?
  • Which steps remain manual if a carrier connection is unavailable?
  • How will permissions, compliance controls, training and workflow ownership be configured?
  • What brokerage-credit usage is expected, and how will it be monitored against the shared allowance?

Salesforce Help provides setup guidance for policy and commissions management, rate plans and benefits, producer splits and commission statements, and billing. The buyer still needs to validate how those workflows fit its own systems and operating controls. See Salesforce Help: Insurance Brokerage.

How to interpret Salesforce’s reported results

A Salesforce FY26 datasheet attributes the following figures to its “2024 Salesforce Insurance Brokerage Success Metrics”:

  • 32% higher sales revenue
  • 24% compliance-cost reduction
  • 25% increase in productivity
  • 27% improvement in customer satisfaction scores
  • 24% reduction in time spent on manual tasks
  • 27% faster decisions

These are Salesforce-reported figures, not a forecast or guaranteed outcome for a buyer. The datasheet excerpt does not describe the sample, methodology, comparison group, baseline or uncertainty, so it cannot show how likely a particular brokerage is to achieve them. The source is Salesforce’s Customer 360 for Insurance Agencies and Brokerages datasheet.
