Allseated raised $20 million in debt financing on August 29, 2023, with Magma Ventures, Level Structured Capital, Vestech Partners, NYFF and WGG participating, according to TechCrunch. The financing was debt, not equity: TechCrunch corrected its initial description after publication. Allseated later rebranded as Prismm, and Prismm’s website now says the company is part of Cvent.
What Allseated built
Allseated connected venue marketing with event design and planning. Its tools let venues present spaces through immersive views, while planners and clients could work with 2D and 3D floor plans, arrange furniture, assign seats and share revisions with collaborators.
For example, a hotel sales team could show a prospective client an interactive view of a ballroom, while a planner arranged tables and seating in a scaled layout. The client could review the design remotely, and caterers or other vendors could work from the shared plan. That makes the product more than a virtual tour: it links selling a space to planning how an event will use it.
The workflow served multiple business users: hotels, convention centers, restaurants and other venues; corporate-event teams and professional planners; and clients, caterers, rental companies and production vendors. Venue teams could use visualizations in remote sales, while planners and vendors used layouts to coordinate event details.

Prismm’s current platform overview describes the workflow as marketing and touring a venue, customizing its presentation for sales, then planning and designing an event. Its event-design page describes floor plans, 2D and 3D design, seating and collaboration. These are company descriptions of product capabilities, not independent measures of how well a particular event plan will work on site.
Why the $20 million was debt, not equity
Debt and equity affect a company differently. Equity financing generally gives investors ownership in exchange for capital and can dilute existing shareholders. Debt does not, by itself, issue new shares, but it creates repayment obligations. Depending on the agreement, debt can also include fees, covenants or warrants.

The reported financing terms do not establish the interest rate, maturity, collateral, covenants, repayment schedule, warrants, valuation, lead lender or specific category of debt. It should not be labeled a Series C or D, or treated as a valuation event. The $20 million figure describes financing raised; it does not mean Allseated sold $20 million of equity.
Debt can provide capital without immediate equity dilution, but repayment obligations can add pressure, particularly if a company’s cash flow is uneven. The public reporting does not disclose enough terms to assess the financing’s cost or risk for Allseated.

Investors and earlier financing
TechCrunch named Magma Ventures, Level Structured Capital, Vestech Partners, NYFF and WGG as participants in the 2023 financing. Its report also said Allseated had raised $15 million in 2022 and described the 2023 transaction as bringing total cash raised above $43 million.
Liquidity Capital’s company site refers to a 2020 Allseated financing of $4.4 million. Prismm’s January 2024 rebrand announcement, however, described Allseated’s total funding as $40 million. Those cumulative figures differ, so neither should be presented as a settled total without further documentation.

Why Allseated spun out its meetaverse business
Allseated had also pursued enterprise metaverse products. TechCrunch reported that the company raised $15 million in 2022 to expand beyond event visualization into corporate metaverses, and that it launched a “meetaverse” for enterprises in May 2023. Alongside the 2023 financing, the company said it was spinning that division out as a standalone entity.
The report did not identify the spinout’s leadership, ownership, financing or subsequent product plans. The disclosed move suggests a narrower focus for Allseated’s core business on tools connected to physical venues and events; it does not establish that the meetaverse unit failed or shut down.

What happened to Allseated?
On January 22, 2024, the company announced that Allseated had become Prismm. The company described the rebrand as bringing virtual venue tours, venue selling, spatial design and event planning together under one brand. Prismm’s current homepage says it is now part of Cvent. The available statements establish that current relationship, but do not specify an acquisition date, purchase price or transaction structure.
Prismm’s event-design page currently claims more than 3 million events, 150,000 venue floor plans, 10,000 objects and more than 5,000 marquee brands. These are company-reported figures, not independently verified counts. Prismm’s site emphasizes demo and account-start calls to action; it does not provide a public price on the cited product pages, so buyers should request current terms directly.
What the tools can—and cannot—settle
Virtual venue views and shared plans can reduce the need for repeated site visits, help clients compare configurations and give planners and vendors a common design to review. But a digital representation cannot fully convey acoustics, lighting, smells, accessibility friction or how a crowd moves through a room. A floor plan is also only as reliable as the venue measurements and other underlying data.
Before relying on a digital layout operationally, event teams still need to verify practical constraints such as fire-code limits, load-in routes, ceiling heights, rigging and staffing. The workflow is most useful when venues, planners and vendors keep the same plan current; separate or proprietary files can make collaboration and later migration harder.
