A missing Ticketmaster text does not automatically mean you were rejected or that the system failed. First identify which kind of code you expected, then confirm whether you were selected, waitlisted, or merely registered. Verified Fan access, fan-club codes, sponsor offers, and account-verification texts follow different rules.
Also verify the exact event, country, seller and onsale window through Taylor Swift’s official channels and the event’s Ticketmaster page. Ticketmaster’s Taylor-specific guidance cited here covers the 2023–2024 Eras Tour and is not a guarantee for a new 2026 event.
Identify the code you were expecting

Ticketmaster lists these presale categories and explains where their codes originate at its presale-code guide. Fan-club codes specifically come from the fan club, not Ticketmaster: Ticketmaster’s fan-club guidance.
Registration is not selection
For the Taylor Swift Verified Fan process described by Ticketmaster, a registration confirmation only means Ticketmaster received your registration. A later message says whether you received sale access or were placed on the waitlist. Only selected fans receive the event-specific link and unique code. - Registration confirmation: your form was received, but access is not promised.
- Access confirmation: you were selected for the specified sale; look for the link and code in the announced delivery window.
- Waitlist notice: there may be no code to troubleshoot yet. You could be invited later if inventory is released, but later access and tickets are not guaranteed.
- General-sale or resale listing: neither proves that you were selected for Verified Fan.
How long should you wait?
There is no universal delivery time. Follow the event’s own instructions. For the 2023–2024 Eras Tour sales, Ticketmaster said selected fans would receive a code and purchase link by text on the day before the sale, with email used as a fallback when SMS delivery failed. Older Taylor presale instructions described messages arriving roughly two to four hours before a presale; that historical timing is not a current guarantee (older Ticketmaster FAQ).
If the stated window has not passed, wait. If it has passed, check both SMS and email, then contact the correct support channel.

Immediate troubleshooting checklist
Confirm that you were selected
- Search every mailbox folder for “Ticketmaster,” “Taylor Swift,” the event name, “Verified Fan,” “access,” “presale” and “waitlist.”
- Check the email address attached to the Ticketmaster account used during registration.
- Read the wording carefully: “access granted” and “waitlist” require different next steps.
- Confirm the event’s local onsale time and whether the sale has actually started.
Check the phone
- Verify the mobile number on the account and registration.
- Review blocked numbers, spam protection, junk-message folders and carrier filtering.
- Temporarily disable Do Not Disturb or Focus.
- Send yourself an ordinary SMS to confirm the phone can receive messages.
- Restart the phone. If traveling, confirm roaming and coverage.
- Use “resend” only when the event or verification screen provides that option.
Ticketmaster’s account-verification instructions recommend checking the number, disabling Do Not Disturb, restarting, checking roaming and resending when available: verification help.
Check email for the SMS fallback
- Search Inbox, Spam, Junk, Promotions and Trash for Ticketmaster and the event name.
- Search for mail from
@email.ticketmaster.com. - Use the mailbox belonging to the registered Ticketmaster account.
- Add Ticketmaster’s transactional sender to approved contacts if your provider supports that feature.
Use the registered account and official link
For the historical Taylor Swift Verified Fan process, the access link had to be used with the same Ticketmaster account used to register. Do not switch to a friend’s account or assume forwarding the link will work. Ticketmaster said its Waiting Room opened 30 minutes before the designated sale window and warned that refreshing could lose your place (Taylor Swift FAQ).

If the link arrives but appears broken
- Check whether the onsale is live. A link sent in advance may not work until the published start time.
- Sign in with the registered account and the correct regional Ticketmaster site.
- Use the event-specific link from Ticketmaster, not a copied social-media link.
- Check whether you reached a ticket limit or already used the code.
- Consider whether the sale is paused or inventory has sold out.
Ticketmaster says Taylor access links may be delivered before the sale begins and require the same registered email address (source).
If the code is rejected
- Enter it exactly as supplied, preserving capitalization and numbers; do not add spaces.
- Confirm it belongs to this event and this presale, not another city, date or sponsor.
- Stay signed in to the account used for registration.
- Check whether a ticket limit was already reached.
- Never use a code copied from Reddit, X, TikTok, resale sites or search results.
A valid code gives you an opportunity to shop, not a guaranteed seat. Ticket limits and remaining inventory still control checkout (Ticketmaster presale rules).

Who should you contact?
Contact Ticketmaster Fan Support when
- You were selected but received neither SMS nor fallback email after the stated window.
- A verification code repeatedly expires or fails.
- The access link is broken after the sale starts and you are using the registered account.
- Your account is blocked, restricted or stuck in a security check.
Contact the artist or fan club when
- The sale is labeled a fan-club presale.
- The fan-club activation email or code never arrived.
- Ticketmaster identifies the rejected code as a fan-club code.
Ticketmaster directs fans with missing fan-club codes to the fan club, while account-verification problems go to Fan Support (fan-club guidance; verification guidance).

A one-time login or phone-verification text is not a Taylor Swift presale code. Ticketmaster says these messages can take several minutes; a newly requested code may replace an earlier one. Request a new code, verify the number, restart the phone and check Do Not Disturb and roaming. Google Voice, VoIP, payphone and pager numbers are not supported for the cited verification flow (Ticketmaster verification help).

Security-check and VPN issues
Some users are asked for a selfie or government-issued ID through Persona during sign-in or artist-presale registration. Match your billing and account details, and avoid using a VPN if possible; Ticketmaster says VPN use can increase the chance of an additional security check. Avoid fake codes and phishing pages
- Do not pay a stranger for an “extra,” “guaranteed” or “bypass” code.
- Never give a one-time verification code to another person.
- Do not post screenshots of access texts.
- Treat social-media and direct-message links as untrusted.
- Open the official Ticketmaster app or type the regional Ticketmaster domain yourself.
- Never enter Ticketmaster credentials on a page reached through an unsolicited message.

The Bottom Line
The decisive first step is confirming selection. A registration receipt or waitlist notice is not an access code. If Ticketmaster selected you and the stated delivery window has passed, check SMS and email, use the registered account, and contact Ticketmaster Fan Support; fan-club codes require the fan club. No legitimate troubleshooting step can create access or tickets that were never issued or have sold out.
