Everstone announced on January 20, 2026, an agreement to combine Wingify’s VWO business with France-based AB Tasty. The companies say the resulting digital-experience-optimization platform will exceed $100 million in annual revenue or annual recurring revenue (ARR), depending on the source, and serve more than 4,000 customers. The transaction price and detailed legal structure were not disclosed.
What Everstone actually combined
The announcement concerns VWO and AB Tasty, not two unrelated companies called Wingify and VWO. Wingify is the software company behind VWO. Everstone was already Wingify’s majority financial backer and invested additional capital while remaining its largest institutional shareholder. The transaction was presented as a combination of businesses under Everstone’s backing, rather than a reseller partnership or a simple product integration.
The January announcement remained subject to customary closing conditions. Later 2026 company material shows operational integration: AB Tasty says VWO and AB Tasty are moving under the Wingify brand, and that the VWO application moved from app.vwo.com to app.wingify.com on June 13, 2026. That establishes a brand and operating transition, but the available announcements do not provide a separate, detailed legal closing notice.
Why the deal matters to Everstone
This is a private-equity platform-building strategy. Combining complementary products can create a larger independent vendor, broaden enterprise coverage and give Everstone a bigger asset in which to fund product development or pursue a future exit.

- Cross-selling: VWO and AB Tasty have overlapping customers but different strengths, creating opportunities to sell additional modules.
- Product breadth: A combined roadmap can cover experimentation, personalization, analytics, behavioral insights and feature delivery.
- Scale: More customers, employees and geographic coverage can support enterprise sales and global service.
- AI investment: The companies describe additional capital as supporting AI-assisted and platform-wide optimization capabilities.
TechCrunch reported that the deal included a cash component and some equity rollover for existing leadership, based on comments from VWO chief executive Sparsh Gupta. Precise terms were not disclosed, so those details should not be treated as a published deal document. TechCrunch also reported Everstone’s January 2025 acquisition of a controlling Wingify stake for $200 million; that was a separate transaction, not the price of the AB Tasty combination (TechCrunch).
Scale of the combined company
The figures below come from company announcements and related reporting. They describe operating scale, not enterprise value or purchase price.
| Measure | Reported figure | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Annual scale | More than $100 million | VWO describes this as annual recurring revenue; other announcements say annual revenue. |
| Customers | More than 4,000 | Company-reported global customer count. |
| Revenue geography | Approximately 90% | Company-reported share from the United States and Europe. |
| Employees | Nearly 800 | Reported in VWO’s combination announcement. |
| Offices | 11 | Global offices, with teams across North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. |
The official announcement is available from VWO and the transaction release at GlobeNewswire. “$100M+” therefore signals revenue or ARR scale; it does not mean Everstone paid $100 million.
What products are meant to fit together
VWO offers web and product experimentation, including A/B, split-URL and multivariate testing, personalization, behavioral insights, feature experimentation and rollouts. AB Tasty brings experimentation, personalization, reporting, visual editing and customer-experience optimization capabilities.
The combined ambition extends beyond testing to adaptive personalization, customer-journey optimization, analytics, recommendations, search, feedback and AI-assisted decision-making. Those are strategic objectives, not proof that every module already runs in one interface. Enterprises should expect a period in which legacy products, terminology and data models coexist while integration proceeds. The companies’ current product and plan pages are VWO pricing and AB Tasty pricing.
Leadership and governance
The announced leadership team combines executives from both organizations:
Rank #3
- Sparsh Gupta: chief executive officer.
- Ankit Jain: chief product and technology officer.
- Rémi Aubert: chief customer and strategy officer.
- Alix de Sagazan: chief revenue officer.
That structure signals continuity of AB Tasty leadership in the combined business rather than a wholesale replacement. Everstone remains the controlling financial backer, giving it substantial influence over investment, acquisitions, packaging and any eventual exit.
What existing customers should expect
VWO and AB Tasty said existing contracts, pricing, service levels, customer relationships and support teams would remain unchanged during the transition. That is a company-stated policy, not a guarantee that every operational detail will stay fixed. The later Wingify rebrand and VWO application migration demonstrate that URLs and brand infrastructure can change even when commercial terms continue.

- Will the contracting entity, billing process or renewal date change?
- Is migration to Wingify mandatory, and on what timetable?
- Will APIs, SDKs, tags, integrations, data schemas and historical experiment reports remain compatible?
- Where will data be stored, and will United States, European Union or India residency options continue?
- Will support response times and service-level commitments remain in the contract?
- Can experiment data be exported if a product is retired or repackaged?
- Will future packaging, traffic limits or monthly-active-user thresholds change?
How it changes the competitive landscape
The enlarged company is intended to be a scaled independent alternative to larger experience-cloud vendors, not an established proof that it leads the market. Optimizely remains a broad enterprise experimentation and digital-experience option. Adobe Target is particularly relevant for organizations already standardized on Adobe Experience Cloud. Large engineering organizations may also prefer specialized feature-management tools or an internally built experimentation stack.
The practical choice depends on stack fit. A buyer should compare web, mobile and server-side testing; feature flags and progressive rollouts; statistical methods and guardrails; personalization depth; analytics and warehouse integrations; privacy and residency controls; implementation support; and the ability to preserve data during a VWO-to-Wingify or AB Tasty product transition.

Integration execution
Two mature products can create overlapping features, inconsistent workflows and delayed roadmaps. The strategic value depends on making the suite simpler, not merely larger.

Pricing uncertainty
Neither vendor publishes one universal enterprise price. VWO presents Growth, Pro and Enterprise categories while directing buyers toward plan exploration or quotes. AB Tasty says proposals can depend on traffic, domains, modules, implementation scope or monthly active users; it does not offer a standard free trial, although short proofs of concept may be available.
Brand and data-change risk
URL migration, product consolidation and changes to data schemas can create implementation work even when contracts are honored. Buyers should validate integrations, exports, data residency and reporting continuity.
Control and exit incentives
Everstone’s continued control can provide capital for product investment, but private-equity ownership also means strategic decisions may reflect portfolio priorities and a future sale or recapitalization.
What is still unknown
- The purchase price, valuation and final legal structure.
- Whether all VWO and AB Tasty capabilities will ultimately share one technical platform.
- Product-retirement, migration and support timelines by customer segment.
- Future pricing, packaging and contract terms.
- Quantified cost synergies, retention results or financial forecasts.
Bottom line
Everstone’s January 2026 announcement creates a much larger independent digital-experience vendor by combining Wingify’s VWO business with AB Tasty. The reported scale—more than $100 million in annual revenue or ARR and more than 4,000 customers—describes the platform’s operating size, not the deal value. For customers and investors, the decisive test is whether Wingify can integrate experimentation, personalization, analytics, behavioral insight and feature delivery without disrupting data, contracts or day-to-day workflows.
