Best unlocked deal: buy direct from Samsung
Up to $1,000 in instant trade-in savings
Samsung’s Fold7 offer applies the anticipated eligible trade-in value during checkout, rather than distributing it as a later carrier rebate. That makes it the cleanest option for an unlocked phone and avoids forfeiting future credits if you change carriers.
Use Samsung’s trade-in checker before ordering. After the new phone arrives, the trade-in device generally must be shipped within 15 days. If it arrives late or fails the stated condition requirements, Samsung can charge back some or all of the credit; the terms describe a possible $25 deduction in certain cases. Keep tracking and shipment records until the inspection is complete.
No-trade-in path
Samsung’s phone-offer page has also advertised up to $500 off without a trade-in. The exact amount depends on the selected model and configuration, so treat it as available only when the discount appears in your checkout summary. This route can be more useful than a low trade-in quote for an old or damaged phone.

Restrictions
Samsung generally does not allow its trade-in credit to be combined with other Samsung, carrier or retailer promotions unless the specific terms say otherwise. A six-month SiriusXM trial and similar extras are secondary benefits, not reductions in the phone’s purchase price.

Best carrier deal: AT&T
What the $1,100 headline means
AT&T advertises up to $1,100 off the Fold7 when you trade in an eligible device and use a qualifying unlimited plan. Its product page lists the 256GB phone at $55.56 per month before credits and as low as $25 per month after eligible credits. The maximum is delivered over 36 months, not deducted immediately.
The product page shows a trade-in minimum of $95 or more, but the credit tier depends on the device, condition and plan combination. Taxes on the full retail price, activation charges and other restrictions may apply. Leaving AT&T, changing to an ineligible plan or paying off the installment early can stop future credits and leave the remaining device balance due.

When AT&T wins
- You already pay for the qualifying unlimited plan.
- Your trade-in qualifies for a materially higher credit than Samsung offers.
- You expect to keep the line active for all 36 months.
When Samsung is safer
If you would upgrade your plan solely to obtain the promotion, add the plan’s extra cost, activation fees and taxes to your comparison. The higher nominal discount can be worth less than Samsung’s immediate credit once service costs are included.
Verizon and T-Mobile: verify the checkout terms
Samsung’s carrier checkout has displayed a Verizon configuration with up to $1,100 in trade-in bill credits. The available listing does not establish the required plan, new-line or upgrade status, credit duration, unlock policy or early-cancellation consequences, so do not treat it as a confirmed deal until Verizon’s live terms answer those questions: Samsung Fold7 buy page.

Best Buy and other retailer offers
Best Buy search results have displayed “up to $1,200 off” the new Galaxy Z series, including Fold7 listings. That search result is not proof of a current checkout price: retailer offers can depend on carrier activation, trade-in, storage, color and stock.
The same indexed results referenced a $200 Best Buy e-gift card tied to a pre-order promotion that ended August 6, 2026. Do not count that gift card unless a current live listing shows a new, valid promotion with an expiration date. Confirm whether the specific unit is unlocked or carrier-specific and whether the incentive is a gift card rather than a reduction in the phone balance.

Total cost = phone payments + required plan cost + activation fees + taxes − trade-in value − promotional credits − usable gift-card value.
For a carrier deal, price the plan over the entire 36-month credit period and include what you would have paid with your current service. A $25 “as low as” payment is not equivalent to a $25 unlocked purchase, and financing may require approved credit or a down payment.
Final checkout checklist
- Confirm the exact storage tier, color, SKU and stock status.
- Read the trade-in condition rules: power-on requirement, cracked-screen treatment, unlocked status and blacklist or financing exclusions.
- Record the trade-in shipping deadline and keep tracking evidence.
- Check whether the offer is for a new line, an upgrade or either.
- Verify the qualifying unlimited plan and the number of credit months.
- Ask what happens to credits and the remaining balance if you cancel, change plans or pay off early.
- Confirm taxes, activation fees, financing approval and carrier-lock or unlock terms.
