To find a deposit address on Coinbase.com, sign in and select Receive. Choose the exact cryptocurrency and, when offered, its network. Coinbase then shows the address and QR code; copy the address or let the sender scan it. In the mobile app, use Transfer → Receive crypto. Before anyone sends funds, verify the asset, network, and any memo or destination tag shown on that screen.
Find your address on Coinbase.com
- Sign in directly at Coinbase and open your dashboard.
- Select Receive.
- Choose the cryptocurrency you want to receive.
- Select the receiving network if Coinbase presents more than one option.
- Review the displayed address and QR code.
- Use Copy or have the sender scan the QR code.
- Provide the memo or destination tag as well if Coinbase displays one.
Coinbase documents this flow in its steps to receive crypto. The address is for receiving the selected asset on the selected network—not a universal address for your account.
Find your address in the Coinbase mobile app
- Open the Coinbase app and go to Home.
- Tap Transfer.
- Select Receive crypto.
- Choose the asset.
- Choose the network if prompted.
- Copy the address or display its QR code.
- Send the exact memo or destination tag shown with the address, if any.
Labels can differ by iOS or Android version, region, account type, and product updates. The functional path is to reach Receive crypto, select the asset and network, and copy the resulting details. Coinbase’s current mobile guidance is on its crypto-address help page.
What a Coinbase wallet address is
A wallet address is a public alphanumeric identifier that tells a blockchain where to deliver a particular cryptocurrency. You can generally share it with a person, exchange, or wallet sending you funds. It is not your Coinbase password, private key, or recovery phrase, and the address alone does not authorize spending.

Coinbase may associate multiple addresses with one asset. Always start the receive flow by selecting the exact asset and network instead of relying on an address saved from an earlier transfer.
Check the asset and network before sending
Networks are separate blockchains. A Bitcoin address is not interchangeable with an Ethereum or Solana address, and a token such as USDC can be available on several networks. The sender must use a network Coinbase supports for that specific deposit.

For a high-value transfer, send a small test amount first and wait for it to arrive before sending the balance.
Memos and destination tags
Some assets use a shared exchange wallet address plus an additional identifier. The address identifies the wallet; the memo or destination tag identifies your account within that wallet system. If Coinbase displays a memo or tag, the sender must enter it exactly. Leaving it out or entering the wrong value can prevent automatic crediting and may cause loss.

Coinbase’s documentation discusses this requirement for assets including AXL, ATOM, EOS, HBAR, and STX, but supported assets and terminology can change. Treat the field shown for your specific deposit as authoritative. See Coinbase’s memo-not-included guidance.
View old or historical Coinbase addresses
- Sign in to Coinbase.
- Open Crypto addresses.
- Use the Tradable assets filter to choose an asset.
- In the Actions column, choose the option to copy an address or display its QR code.
Seeing several addresses does not automatically mean your account was compromised. Coinbase says it historically generated a new address for each transaction and for some movements between a user balance and cold storage. Historical addresses can remain visible, while the current Receive screen provides the address Coinbase is presenting for a new deposit. Details are documented at Your crypto addresses.

Coinbase.com versus Coinbase Wallet and the Base app
“Coinbase” can mean two different products. Confirm which one you are using before sharing an address.
| Product | What it is | Where the address comes from | Who controls access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coinbase.com | Custodial exchange account | Receive (or mobile Transfer → Receive crypto) | Coinbase manages the exchange wallet infrastructure |
| Coinbase Wallet/Base app | Self-custody Web3 wallet | Open the relevant wallet or sub-wallet, select Receive, then choose the asset or chain | You control access through the recovery phrase, private key, or supported wallet mechanism |
An address displayed in a self-custody wallet is not automatically the deposit address for your Coinbase.com account. Coinbase’s current documentation describes the Base app and the legacy Coinbase Wallet experience, including separate wallet-specific addresses. It says one recovery phrase can link up to 15 Ethereum and Solana sub-wallets; Bitcoin, Dogecoin, ETC, Litecoin, Stellar, and XRP support is limited to the first wallet in that flow. Product behavior and labels may change. See Coinbase’s multi-wallet support page.

Share an address safely
- Use Coinbase’s copy button instead of retyping the string.
- After pasting, compare the first and last several characters with the Coinbase screen.
- Use a QR code only when the sender’s app supports the same asset and network.
- Never share your recovery phrase, private key, Coinbase password, two-factor authentication code, or security codes.
- Remember that a public address is not completely private: blockchain explorers can expose associated balances and transaction history. Coinbase explains this in its wallet-extension documentation.
If your deposit has not arrived
Do not send another large transfer until you identify the problem. Check the transfer in this order:
- Compare the recipient address with the address copied from Coinbase.
- Confirm the asset is identical.
- Confirm the network matches Coinbase’s receiving screen.
- Check whether a memo or destination tag was required and entered correctly.
- Get the transaction hash from the sending platform.
- Look up that hash on the relevant blockchain explorer and check whether the transaction is confirmed.
- Review Coinbase activity for an Action Needed prompt or other account requirement.
- If the transfer remains unresolved, contact Coinbase Support through the official signed-in support channel.
A missing deposit can reflect a pending blockchain confirmation, an unsupported asset or network, a wrong address, an omitted tag, or an account action requirement. Coinbase does not promise recovery for incorrect-network transfers and says it cannot retrieve funds sent over an incorrect network.
Quick Recap
Quick decision guide
- Depositing into your exchange balance: use Coinbase.com’s Receive flow.
- Receiving into a wallet you control: open the Base app or Coinbase Wallet, select the correct wallet and chain, then use Receive.
- Someone asks for “your Coinbase address” without naming a coin: ask which asset and network they intend to send.
- You cannot find Receive: make sure you are not in a send, buy, or trade screen; search the signed-in product for Receive crypto. If it is unavailable, the asset, location, account status, or app version may limit receiving, so use official Coinbase Support.
