What the day-two list actually contained
Engadget selected products it recommended or had tested; the biggest percentage was “up to 50 percent,” not an average discount. The list mixed genuine markdowns with older-generation products, bundles and one notable item that was not discounted. The table preserves the historical snapshot, not a current price promise.

Other listed prices included a $38 Leebein electric spin scrubber, $159 DJI Neo drone, $399 AirPods Max with USB-C, $880 Microsoft Surface Laptop and $70 Instant Pot Duo Plus. The article also mentioned a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle at its standard $500 price through Amazon’s invitation-based ordering process; it was notable availability, not a conventional discount.
Best headphone and earbud deals
AirPods Pro 2: best for iPhone owners
At the historical $149 price, AirPods Pro 2 were the strongest Apple-specific earbud pick. Engadget highlighted noise cancellation, onboard volume controls and hearing-aid functionality. Android buyers receive fewer ecosystem benefits, so a Bose or Sony alternative may make more sense.

Bose QuietComfort: comfort-first choice
The $199 snapshot favored long listening sessions and frequent flights. Comfort, ANC, multipoint and claimed 24-hour battery life were the selling points. Confirm the exact generation and color before checkout.
Sony WH-1000XM5: only compelling against the XM6
The XM5 remained capable for ANC, sound, multipoint and battery life, but Sony’s newer XM6 had launched by the time of the roundup. Its value therefore depended on a sufficiently low price rather than the 25 percent label alone.

AirPods Max with USB-C: premium integration, unchanged design
The $399 price suited shoppers committed to over-ear Apple integration. Engadget noted that the design was largely unchanged from the original generation, an important reason to compare newer alternatives.
TV and streaming picks
Choose the panel and room before the discount
The Frame’s art-display appearance and wall-mounted look justify its premium for some rooms, but not necessarily the best picture per dollar. Hisense’s CanvasTV offered a lower-cost Frame-style approach with anti-glare treatment, 144Hz refresh and an included slim mount. Amazon’s Omni mini-LED emphasized QLED mini-LED technology, high peak brightness, 144Hz and AMD FreeSync. Match screen size, panel behavior in your room, gaming features and operating system—not just the percentage off.

Fire TV Stick 4K Max versus Fire TV Cube
The Stick’s historical $35 price included 4K, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10+ and Wi-Fi 6E. The $90 Cube added more processing power and Ethernet. Both use Amazon’s interface, which puts substantial emphasis on Prime Video content; that can matter if your household uses other streaming services.
Robot and cordless vacuum deals solve different problems
Roomba combo: automation on a budget
The $140 Roomba vacuum-and-mop configuration included a water reservoir, Wi-Fi, app controls and scheduling. Verify the exact configuration, mapping and threshold clearance. Mopping is maintenance, not a replacement for manual deep cleaning, and brushes, filters, bags and batteries create ongoing costs.

Dyson V15 Detect Plus: manual deep-cleaning power
At $570, the V15 Detect Plus was the higher-end cordless stick choice, with strong suction, light weight, battery life and a laser-equipped head. It does not replace a robot’s scheduled floor coverage; choose based on whether you need active cleaning or unattended runs.

The A16 iPad’s 128GB base storage made the $280 snapshot suitable for general apps, browsing, streaming and light productivity. The $85 Kindle prioritized reading and battery life, while the $260 Kindle Scribe added a larger writing surface plus Kindle books and integrations with Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox. Confirm Wi-Fi versus cellular iPad configurations and ad-supported versus ad-free Kindle versions; deal pages often mix them.

Apple Watch Series 10 was shown at $280, $120 below the stated reference price, with faster charging, a slimmer design and broad fitness functions. Check case size and cellular status.
Smart-home, networking and kitchen options
- SmartTag 2: The $15.50 price was aimed at Samsung Galaxy users; compatibility and account requirements matter.
- Ring bundle: The $70 doorbell-and-camera bundle was a 50 percent stated reduction, but review recurring subscription costs and privacy preferences before purchase.
- Deco XE75: The $200 mesh system can improve coverage, but verify compatibility with your existing router and internet speed.
- Echo Spot: At $45, it was a compact Alexa display/speaker; confirm which features require an Amazon account.
- Ninja air fryer and Instant Pot: Compare basket or pot capacity, counter space and cleaning effort, not only the $50 or 50 percent headline savings.
How to tell a meaningful deal from a noisy one
Engadget supplied promotional prices and editorial judgments, but not a uniform historical price chart for every item. A claimed saving may compare with MSRP, a recent selling price or a bundle’s accessory-inclusive reference. A smaller dollar or percentage reduction can be better value when the product is newer or normally holds its price; an older model may be worthwhile only below a personal threshold. During a multi-day event, prices, colors and inventory can change.
- Match the exact model number, generation, storage, size, color and included accessories.
- Check whether Amazon, the manufacturer or a third party is the seller.
- Confirm Prime eligibility, any coupon checkbox and quantity limits.
- Compare the current price with Amazon, the manufacturer, Walmart, Target and Best Buy; policies and returns differ by retailer.
- Read delivery timing, warranty, refurbished/open-box status and return restrictions.
- Calculate recurring costs for Ring, Audible or other subscriptions and replacement consumables.
- Recheck the price immediately before payment; an editorial recommendation can remain sound while the deal no longer is.
Prime Day mechanics and expired-offer warnings
For the 2025 event, many discounts were primarily for Prime members and generally appeared automatically in the cart; some sales were open to nonmembers. Amazon labeled member-only offers as Prime-exclusive, and new customers could use a 30-day trial, subject to eligibility. Membership pricing, trial rules and benefits change, so verify them at Amazon’s Prime page. The same caution applies to Audible promotions and any auto-renewing subscription.
For future events, treat this page as historical context unless every listing has been freshly checked. Amazon’s event dates vary, and a 2025 “day two” label does not describe a 2026 promotion.
