Choose the $99.99 Premium version only if ad-free on-demand Hulu and Disney+ justify $10 more each month; live television and live sports can still contain commercials.
If you do not need local stations, live news or Hulu’s channel lineup, the $19.99 Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select bundle is much cheaper. If your priority is the broadest ESPN network access without live television, compare the $35.99 ESPN Unlimited bundle instead.

What the $89.99 plan includes
- Hulu’s on-demand catalog with advertisements.
- Hulu + Live TV, marketed as 100+ channels by Hulu and described as 95+ channels on Disney’s bundle page. The exact lineup depends on your ZIP code, rights agreements and location.
- Disney+ With Ads.
- ESPN Select, which includes ESPN+ content but is not the complete ESPN cable and streaming portfolio.
- Unlimited DVR at no additional charge. Live recordings can be retained for up to nine months; this does not make every on-demand title recordable.
- Separate Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN app access. Disney+ may show selected Hulu content, while the full Hulu catalog, Live TV and Hulu add-ons remain associated with Hulu.
- No annual contract commitment, although promotional offers can have separate conditions.
Check local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, regional sports and other channels by entering your ZIP code before subscribing. Hulu + Live TV is not identical in every market, and blackouts or regional restrictions can apply.
ESPN Select versus ESPN Unlimited
The name “ESPN+” now causes confusion because Disney distinguishes two tiers. ESPN Select is the replacement name for the ESPN+ level. It supplies ESPN+ streaming content but does not automatically unlock every traditional ESPN network.

The published Hulu + Live TV plan table and Disney bundle terms identify ESPN Select as the included tier. Confirm the checkout screen and current terms if you require ESPN Unlimited; do not rely on the phrase “additional ESPN Unlimited content” in general marketing copy.
What the $99.99 Premium upgrade actually changes
The Premium tier costs $10 more per month, or $120 more per year before taxes. It upgrades Hulu’s on-demand service to No Ads and Disney+ to Premium/No Ads for eligible content.

It does not turn Hulu + Live TV into commercial-free television. Live channels, live sports, news, linear programming and some titles can still contain advertising. Premium is most defensible for households that watch Hulu and Disney+ on demand every day; occasional on-demand viewers or primarily live-TV viewers usually get better value from the $89.99 plan.

How to subscribe without overpaying
- Check your ZIP code. Verify local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, regional sports networks and other must-have channels on Hulu’s Live TV page.
- Audit existing billing. Look for Hulu, Disney+ or ESPN subscriptions billed directly or through Apple, Google, Roku or another provider. Creating a new account first can cause duplicate charges, remove a grandfathered rate or make you ineligible for a trial.
- Select the correct Live TV tier. Choose $89.99 With Ads or $99.99 Premium based on your on-demand viewing, not an expectation of ad-free live sports.
- Verify the ESPN label. Confirm that checkout says ESPN Select unless you are intentionally buying a separate ESPN Unlimited bundle.
- Save the renewal details. Record the promotional price, duration, regular renewal price, end date and cancellation terms. Do not assume a historical discount—such as a former three-month $64.99 offer—is still available.
- Activate each app. Follow the account instructions for Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN. You may use separate apps, and only selected Hulu programming may appear inside Disney+.
- Cancel duplicates after activation. Once bundled entitlements work, cancel standalone subscriptions through the provider that bills them; do not cancel first and risk losing access or a promotional rate.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming ESPN Select is the same as every ESPN cable network.
- Assuming the $89.99 plan includes ESPN Unlimited.
- Calling the $99.99 tier “ad-free Hulu Live TV.”
- Comparing $89.99 only with a $19.99 bundle without accounting for local channels, live news and DVR.
