Kenya Duke reportedly asked for $44,000 a month in spousal support in 2021. That figure was reported as a request in legal documents—not proof that a judge ordered Gary Owen to pay it or that he did. The final support or settlement amount has not been publicly established by the sources cited here.

What the reported $44,000 figure means

On May 14, 2021, TMZ reported that Duke sought $44,000 per month, citing legal documents it said it had obtained. The report described the amount as money she said Owen had been depositing for household bills, credit cards and personal spending. TMZ’s report documents the reported request, not a court’s decision.

A requested amount is different from an award or payment. The $44,000 figure should therefore be described as what Duke reportedly asked for, not as what Owen is confirmed to be paying.

Other amounts reportedly requested

A May 14, 2021 account by LoveBScott, attributing details to PEOPLE’s coverage, reported two additional requests:

  • $88,000 for two months of alleged missed deposits.
  • $50,000 toward attorney fees.

These, too, were reported as amounts sought in connection with Duke’s filing—not confirmed court awards or payments. LoveBScott’s account is secondary reporting; the filing itself is not available in the sources cited here.

Was $44,000 a month the final amount?

The reported request does not establish the final outcome. Later biographical coverage says the settlement amount was not publicly disclosed, and the sources cited here do not include a primary court order or settlement document verifying the final terms. Tuko.co.ke’s account likewise says the settlement amount was not made public.
