In an April 2, 2025 offer, the 256GB model reached $599 only after a $300 instant discount and the maximum $1,000 trade-in credit. The reported offer does not establish that Samsung is selling the phone for $599 now.
How the Galaxy Z Fold 6 reached $599
The April 2025 Samsung promotion combined an instant discount with a separate trade-in credit. The $599 price applied to the 256GB configuration:
$1,899 − $300 − $1,000 = $599
The reported $1,300 total reduction was about 68.5% of the 256GB model’s $1,899 listed price. The $300 instant discount did not require a trade-in; the extra $1,000 did. The offer and qualifying values were reported by Droid Life on April 2, 2025.
The 512GB model had a different percentage
Samsung’s US MSRP sheet listed the 512GB model at $2,019.99. Applying the same reported discounts would have brought it to about $719.99—roughly 64.4% off, not 68%. The Samsung March 2025 MSRP sheet lists the 256GB model at $1,899.99, while the deal report rounds its starting figure to $1,899; the advertised $599 calculation follows that reported figure.

Without a trade-in
With only the reported $300 instant discount, the 256GB model would have cost about $1,599 and the 512GB model about $1,719.99. These are calculations from the April 2025 offer, not currently confirmed prices.
Which trade-ins could reach the maximum credit?
Droid Life reported that Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 trade-ins could qualify for the full $1,000. Some other devices, including the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 3, were reported at up to $900. These were offer-specific examples, not standing trade-in values. Samsung’s valuation can change with the promotion, device, and condition; check the live Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers page and the trade-in terms at checkout before assigning a value to your phone.
A quoted maximum is not guaranteed cash off for every customer. The credit depended on an eligible device, and a condition mismatch can affect the amount ultimately awarded. A Fold 4 or Fold 5 that qualified in 2025 should not be assumed to receive the same credit in a later offer.

Is Samsung’s $599 Fold 6 deal still available?
The $599 offer is historical. The April 2, 2025 report documents that promotion, but the available evidence does not confirm that Samsung still offers it. Samsung’s current US phone-offer pages feature newer Fold generations, and a past deal report is not proof of a live checkout price. Check Samsung’s current phone offers for live inventory and pricing; do not treat $599 as today’s Samsung price without confirmation at checkout.

| Option | Observed price and condition | Protections or trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Certified Re-Newed | Live Fold 6 price and availability were not stated in the observed information. | Samsung advertises a one-year limited manufacturer warranty; stock and price require checking. |
| Reebelo certified-refurbished | $637.98 observed for an unlocked 512GB example, marked 68% below a displayed $2,019.99 reference price. | Listing displayed a 12-month warranty and 30-day risk-free trial. The reference-price comparison is not evidence of a current Samsung new-device price. |
| eBay open-box listing | About $654 observed for an unlocked 512GB unit. | The listing stated that the seller did not accept returns. |
| eBay used listing | About $577 observed for a used unlocked Fold 6. | Condition, battery, and seller terms require close review. |
Samsung Certified Re-Newed is the more direct choice for buyers who prioritize Samsung-backed refurbishment and warranty coverage. Reebelo’s observed listing paired a lower price with stated refurbisher protections. Marketplace listings may cost less, but the device’s history and the seller’s return terms matter as much as the headline price.

Foldables have moving hinges and large inner displays, so inspect the phone and the seller’s terms before comparing prices.

Make sure the listing is for a Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the stated capacity, not another generation.
- Verify US compatibility and unlocked status. Check the model number and confirm it works with your intended US carrier; “unlocked” alone does not establish compatibility with every network.
- Check activation and device history. Ask about IMEI status, prior repairs, and any carrier or account restrictions.
- Inspect both displays and the hinge. Look for inner-screen damage, problems around the crease, dead pixels, screen-protector lifting, unusual hinge resistance, or signs of dust ingress.
- Ask about battery condition. Prefer a disclosed battery-health measure or written warranty coverage rather than assuming a used phone retains new-device battery life.
- Confirm what is included. Check whether the box, cable, and other listed accessories are included, especially for open-box stock.
- Read the return policy and warranty separately. A seller’s return window, a refurbisher warranty, and Samsung’s manufacturer warranty are not interchangeable. Check who handles a claim and what damage is excluded.
When a discounted Fold 6 makes sense
A lower-priced Fold 6 can suit someone who wants a large inner display and foldable multitasking without paying for a newer generation. The trade-off is buying an older model, potentially with less battery life or more wear if it is refurbished or used. Compare it with Samsung’s currently sold foldables and offers at the time of purchase, rather than comparing only with the Fold 6’s original list price.
For a buyer who values manufacturer support, check Samsung Certified Re-Newed inventory first. If the goal is a lower upfront price, compare refurbisher and marketplace listings only after accounting for warranty, return rights, condition, and compatibility.
