Status: Closed. Droid Life published this giveaway on December 28, 2015. Its update said the winners were selected and emailed on December 29, 2015, so this is a historical contest archive—not a current chance to win $250 in Google Play credit.
What the giveaway offered
Droid Life advertised $250 in Google Play gift cards, divided among 16 winners rather than awarded as one $250 card. The original announcement is available at Droid Life.

How entry worked in 2015
Droid Life directed readers to a Rafflecopter entry widget. The article said participants did not have to complete every listed action, while completing more actions increased their chances. The indexed article does not preserve enough of the historical widget to verify all three actions, so specific requirements such as following an account or joining a mailing list should not be assumed.
When the drawing occurred
- Publication: December 28, 2015.
- Scheduled drawing: December 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
- Notification: The update said winners had been selected and emailed at the address used in Rafflecopter.
- Claim instruction: Potential winners were told to check spam folders and respond to claim the prize.
What the winner update confirms
The update confirms that Droid Life stated winners were chosen and contacted. It does not publish a verifiable public list of names, and the indexed text does not independently document that every prize was ultimately delivered. No winner identities should be inferred from the article.

- To redeem, enter code in the Play Store app or play.google.com.
- Endless games to explore: Find and play old and new favorites – from mind-bending puzzles to epic quests and more.

Can you still enter?
No. The entry window and drawing were in December 2015, and the page was already marked “Winners Chosen!” after the drawing. A page or social post presenting this promotion as open in 2026 is outdated or misleading.
If you possess an old card
The original article does not establish the cards’ issuing country, expiration status, or whether an unredeemed prize remains usable. Current Google Play rules are useful only as present-day guidance, not as proof of the 2015 contest’s terms.

Google says gift cards generally must be redeemed in the country and currency where purchased. Travel, a mismatched account region, an organization-managed account, or a promotional balance can affect redemption. Current troubleshooting guidance is at Google Play Help. Redeemed balance generally cannot be transferred between Google Accounts, and current U.S. policy generally makes gift cards nonrefundable and not redeemable for cash except where required by law; see availability and restrictions and refund policy.
