Yes—check your Verizon account again, but do not assume a universal $25 loyalty credit is available. Many older recurring credits reportedly expired around September 1, 2025. In 2026, the realistic possibilities are an account-specific retention offer, a temporary percentage discount, a plan-specific saving, Mobile + Home credit on Fios, or Verizon’s new rewards program—not necessarily another permanent $25 reduction on wireless service.
Which “$25 Verizon discount” are you asking about?
The dollar amount is used for several unrelated programs. Identify the offer before comparing it with your current bill.
| Offer type | Value discussed | Duration or condition | Where it applies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Legacy postpaid loyalty credit | $10–$25 reported | Account-specific; some credits expired or were removed | Wireless service or selected lines |
| Targeted retention offer | 25% reported in customer accounts | Often six or 12 months, according to reports | Selected lines or plans |
| Mobile + Home | $25 per month | While qualifying wireless and Fios conditions remain satisfied | Fios Internet bill, not necessarily wireless |
| Prepaid loyalty | Up to $10 per month | $5 after three renewals and another $5 after nine on select plans priced at $45 or more | Eligible prepaid plans |
| Verizon Loyalty program | 3% back in Verizon Dollars plus fee waivers and Shine rewards | Eligible customers must opt in; program terms apply | Eligible postpaid accounts |
See Verizon’s Mobile + Home terms and Prepaid loyalty rules for the separate programs.
What happened to the old recurring credits?
Verizon community responses about legacy loyalty discounts said some credits were scheduled to end around September 1, 2025, rather than renew automatically. That is evidence about a particular legacy program, not proof that every customer lost every discount or that no replacement exists. Read the discussion at Verizon Community.

What Verizon offers in 2026
Targeted retention credits
Retention offers can depend on your plan, lines, devices, tenure, and internal eligibility. The amount may be a percentage rather than $25, and it may apply to only one line. Verizon has not published a universal tenure threshold such as five or ten years.

The new Verizon Loyalty program
Verizon announced its loyalty program on June 16, 2026. Eligible customers can opt in through My Verizon. Benefits described by Verizon include waivers of eligible activation and upgrade fees (up to $40 per device), 3% back in Verizon Dollars, and Verizon Shine opportunities for prizes, tickets, merchandise, dining, and experiences. Verizon does not describe this program as a recurring $25 monthly bill credit. Review the terms shown in your account at Verizon’s announcement and program explainer.
Mobile + Home and prepaid are different
The $25 Mobile + Home amount is described as a Fios discount for qualifying combinations, not a wireless loyalty credit. Prepaid loyalty is renewal-based and capped at $10 on select plans; it is separate from postpaid retention offers and generally cannot be combined with the current Prepaid Auto Pay discount.

How to check your account safely
- Open the My Verizon app or sign in at Verizon.com.
- Look for promotions, loyalty notices, or My Offers. A community-reported path is Account → My Devices → My Offers, but offers do not always appear there.
- Read your latest bill. Record the exact adjustment name, amount, expiration date, and whether it is attached to the account or a line.
- Use Verizon’s official app chat or customer-service channel and ask the representative to check loyalty, retention, expiring-credit replacement, plan-migration, Mobile + Home, and Verizon Loyalty eligibility.
- Request the offer details in secure written chat or account messaging.
- Obtain a line-by-line monthly estimate before accepting anything.
- Save screenshots showing the offer name, qualifying plan and lines, duration, expiration date, and stacking rules.
- Check the next one or two bills to confirm the adjustment posted.
Questions to copy into Verizon chat
- “My current loyalty discount is expiring or has expired. Please check my account for every available retention, loyalty, and plan-specific offer. Is there a $25 credit, a per-line credit, or a percentage discount?”
- “Is the offer per line or per account? Which lines qualify, how long does it last, and is it recurring or promotional?”
- “Will it stack with Auto Pay, paper-free billing, military, employee, student, first-responder, Mobile + Home, and existing device credits?”
- “Will changing plans, upgrading a phone, adding or removing a line, or paying off a device cancel it?”
- “Please provide the estimated total bill after discounts, taxes, fees, device payments, perks, and protection charges.”
Calculate the real monthly cost
Do not compare a headline discount with another carrier’s headline price. Use the same worksheet for staying, changing plans, or switching:
Plan charges - Auto Pay discount - Loyalty or retention credit - Other verified discounts + Device payments + Protection plans + Perks + Taxes and government fees + Administrative and telecom recovery charges = Actual monthly bill
A percentage offer is not automatically worth $25. Twenty-five percent of a $100 eligible service charge is $25; 25% of $60 is $15. Confirm whether the percentage applies to the full plan, a line access charge, or another component.

What can make an offer disappear?
- Plan changes: The credit may be disqualified, replaced, or restarted under new terms, and grandfathered features may be lost.
- Device changes: An upgrade, payoff, or line move may affect installment credits or offer eligibility.
- Line changes: Adding, canceling, or transferring a line can change a per-line promotion.
- Stacking limits: Auto Pay, military, employee, student, first-responder, and other discounts may not all combine. Verizon’s Customer Agreement says organization-based discounts can be adjusted or removed when eligibility or terms change.
- Expiration: A one-time adjustment can resemble a recurring credit on one bill.
If an offer is visible but cannot be applied, ask for the exact offer name or code, qualifying line, required channel, and a secure written explanation. If a credit vanishes, compare the adjustment name on both bills and escalate through Verizon chat with your screenshots.
Should you request a Transfer PIN?
Some customers report that requesting a Transfer PIN was followed by a retention offer, including percentage discounts. That is anecdotal—not a verified Verizon trigger or a guaranteed tactic. Do not request a PIN as a bluff unless you are prepared to move your number. A PIN can expire, an offer may not appear, and it may be available only through a particular channel. Never give an account PIN or security code to an unsolicited caller.
Quick Recap
When to keep, change, or leave Verizon
Keep the current plan when
- It has grandfathered features, premium data, hotspot, roaming, or perks you use.
- A temporary replacement discount would leave the underlying plan more expensive.
- Changing plans would end device credits.
- The verified net saving is small after taxes and fees.
Accept a retention offer when
- The offer is documented, with clear duration and end date.
- Your required features and device promotions remain intact.
- The post-promotion bill is acceptable.
Consider a plan change when
- The current plan is outdated or overpriced for your usage.
- The new plan’s features, total cost, and discount are documented.
- You have calculated lost benefits and every device credit.
Consider switching carriers when
- Verizon will not replace a major expiring credit.
- Another carrier meets your coverage needs and its verified incentive exceeds the value of staying.
- You have included device payoff, lost installment credits, taxes, activation costs, and the price after any promotion ends.
