Short answer: Hostinger Mail currently starts at a displayed US promotional equivalent of $0.39 per mailbox per month, but that price requires a 48-month subscription paid upfront. The current plans are Starter, Standard, and Premium. Standard is the most balanced choice for many small businesses; Starter suits a single light-use mailbox, while Premium is for larger storage, more aliases and forwarding rules, tracking, and a first-year domain offer.
These are mailbox prices—not unlimited team-account prices. Renewal rates are substantially higher, and Hostinger’s included email with web hosting has different limits from separately purchased Hostinger Mail.
Hostinger Mail pricing at a glance
The following figures are the US prices displayed on Hostinger’s business-email page on August 16, 2026. The monthly promotional figures are arithmetic equivalents of a 48-month term paid upfront. Prices, currencies, promotions, taxes, and checkout terms may vary by region.
| Plan | Promotional price | 48-month upfront equivalent | Renewal equivalent | Storage | Aliases | Forwarding rules |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0.39/mailbox/month | $18.72 | $1.59/month | 5 GB | 5 | 5 |
| Standard | $0.99/mailbox/month | $47.52 | $2.79/month | 20 GB | 10 | 20 |
| Premium | $1.99/mailbox/month | $95.52 | $3.99/month | 50 GB | 30 | 50 |
Hostinger’s sales page describes each figure as a per-mailbox price and says the subscription is paid upfront. See the current Hostinger Mail plans before purchasing.

What Hostinger Business Email actually includes
Hostinger Mail is a separate email-hosting service. You can use it with a domain registered at Hostinger or with a domain held at another registrar. Your website does not need to be hosted by Hostinger.
- Mailbox: A separate inbox with its own login that can send and receive email.
- Alias: An additional address that routes to an existing mailbox. It generally does not create another inbox or separate storage allocation.
- Forwarding rule: An instruction that sends incoming messages to another address.
- Domain: Your internet identity, such as
example.com, used for addresses such as[email protected].
This distinction matters. Five employees who each need independent credentials normally require five mailboxes. Five role addresses for one person may be handled with aliases or forwarding instead.
What five mailboxes cost
Using the displayed promotional rates, five mailboxes would cost approximately:
| Plan | Approximate 48-month promotional cost | Approximate 48-month renewal cost |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $93.60 | $76.32 |
| Standard | $237.60 | $133.92 |
| Premium | $477.60 | $191.52 |
These calculations multiply the displayed monthly equivalent by 48 and assume the same offer applies to every mailbox. They exclude taxes, domain charges, checkout-specific discounts, and future pricing changes. Confirm the full amount, term, and renewal price at checkout.

Before buying five mailboxes, ask whether every person needs a separate inbox. A sales@ or info@ address may be suitable for forwarding or an alias, but aliases do not replace separate accounts when employees need independent mail history, storage, and credentials.
Starter, Standard, or Premium?
Starter: basic branded email for one user
Starter is aimed at solo entrepreneurs who need a custom-domain address, modest storage, and ordinary email hosting. It includes one mailbox, 5 GB of storage, five aliases, and five forwarding rules. Hostinger lists Agentic Mail with the plan.
Choose it when: one person has light email needs and AI writing, summaries, and tracking are not important.
Think twice when: the mailbox will retain years of messages, you need multiple role addresses, or the 48-month prepayment is inconvenient.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsStandard: the likely default for many small businesses
Standard includes one mailbox with 20 GB of storage, 10 aliases, and 20 forwarding rules. Hostinger also emphasizes unlimited AI-assisted search, replies, summaries, and writing assistance, along with email-open visibility, smart AI replies, automatic replies, and Agentic Mail.
Choose it when: you want more than basic email and need a practical balance of storage, automation, and price.
Think twice when: you need a full office suite, more than 20 GB per mailbox, or a flexible short-term subscription.
Premium: more headroom and tracking
Premium provides 50 GB per mailbox, 30 aliases, and 50 forwarding rules. Hostinger lists the higher-tier AI features, email-open visibility, link-click tracking, file-open tracking, automatic replies, and a free domain for one year.

Promotional pricing versus renewal pricing
For one mailbox, the displayed first-term and renewal arithmetic is:
| Plan | Promotional 48-month equivalent | Renewal 48-month equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $18.72 | $76.32 |
| Standard | $47.52 | $133.92 |
| Premium | $95.52 | $191.52 |
The renewal figures are based on the renewal monthly rates displayed by Hostinger, not a guarantee that a future checkout will show identical terms. Check:
- the selected subscription length;
- the total charged today;
- the renewal length and rate;
- whether the price is per mailbox;
- taxes and regional currency;
- domain eligibility and renewal cost; and
- whether your existing account receives different upgrade pricing.
Hostinger Mail versus email included with hosting
Separate Hostinger Mail should not be confused with email bundled into a web-hosting plan.
For newer hosting plans introduced from March 18, 2025, Hostinger says qualifying plans may include up to two free mailboxes per hosted domain for the initial 12 months. Its current hosting table lists one mailbox for Single, two for Premium, five for Business, and 10 for cloud plans. Included mailboxes have 1 GB of storage each. After the initial period, Hostinger says customers can upgrade to Hostinger Business Email. See the Hostinger hosting limits documentation for current eligibility.
Older hosting accounts may have different allowances. “Email included” therefore does not necessarily mean permanent, unlimited, or equivalent to paid Hostinger Mail.
Features and technical limits
Features Hostinger lists across its Mail offering
- Custom-domain email and webmail
- Access from email applications and multiple devices
- Spam, virus, and phishing protection
- Audit logs
- End-to-end encryption, as described by Hostinger
- Email migration tools
- Auto-replies, forwarding, catch-all addresses, and aliases
- Agentic Mail
AI search, generated replies, summaries, writing assistance, and tracking features should be checked against the selected tier. Do not assume Starter includes every feature shown in the higher-tier comparison.
Sending limits and the plan-name problem
Hostinger’s Help Center currently documents a different generation of plans called Business Starter and Business Premium. That article lists 10 GB and 50 GB storage respectively, plus daily sending limits of 1,000 and 3,000 messages. It also discusses DKIM and other technical limits. Those figures should not be silently combined with the current sales-page table, which uses Starter, Standard, and Premium and lists 5 GB, 20 GB, and 50 GB.
Rank #4
Use the Help Center limits article for technical documentation and legacy-plan context, but treat the current checkout and sales page as the buying source of truth. Daily limits use a rolling 24-hour period rather than simply resetting at midnight, according to the Help Center.
Ordinary mailbox hosting is not a newsletter, transactional-email, or cold-outreach platform. Sending limits, recipient limits, authentication, reputation, and anti-abuse controls apply. Hostinger separately promotes Reach for email marketing, which is a useful indication that campaigns should use a dedicated service rather than ordinary employee mailboxes.
Setup and migration checklist
- Choose the plan and confirm the full upfront and renewal prices.
- Use a Hostinger domain, connect a domain registered elsewhere, or purchase an eligible domain.
- Make sure you control the domain’s DNS settings.
- Create the first mailbox.
- Configure the required MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records using the values supplied by Hostinger.
- Connect the account to webmail, Outlook, Gmail, or another supported email application.
- Use Hostinger’s migration tools to import existing messages where appropriate.
- Back up important messages and contacts before changing providers.
- Test inbound and outbound delivery before cancelling the old service.
Do not change DNS or cancel the previous provider until the old mail has been copied and the new mailbox has been tested. Exact DNS menu names vary by registrar, so follow the instructions provided for your domain and current Hostinger account.

Hostinger compared with alternatives
Google Workspace
Google Workspace Business Starter is listed at $7 per user per month on Google’s standard annual pricing display, with 30 GB of pooled storage per user, custom business email, Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet, Calendar, and related tools. Google also displays temporary introductory offers, so separate standard and promotional prices.
Better fit: teams that need an integrated productivity and collaboration suite.
Less compelling: buyers who need only basic custom-domain email at the lowest cost.
Zoho Mail and Zoho Workplace
Zoho lists Workplace Professional at $6 per user per month billed annually or $7 monthly on its pricing information. Zoho combines email with broader business tools, but storage, domains, and IMAP, POP, and ActiveSync availability depend on the selected edition.
Recommended Free Tools
Best Value
Better fit: cost-conscious teams that want email plus a growing business suite.
Less compelling: organizations committed to Google or Microsoft workflows or requiring protocols unavailable on the chosen plan.
See Zoho Mail pricing and Zoho Workplace pricing.
Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 is the natural alternative for organizations centered on Outlook, Exchange-hosted email, OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft Office. Its plan prices and exact inclusions vary by billing basis and edition, so verify the current figures directly on Microsoft’s official pricing page rather than comparing an unverified number with Hostinger.
Proton Mail for Business
Proton Mail for Business is worth considering for privacy-sensitive organizations. Proton’s business offering includes custom domains and migration support, but pricing and feature availability should be checked on its current business pricing page.
Who should choose Hostinger?
| Use case | Best direction |
|---|---|
| One freelancer needing a branded address | Starter, if 5 GB and the prepaid term are acceptable |
| Small service business needing AI tools and more storage | Standard |
| Heavy mailbox use or many aliases and forwarding rules | Premium |
| Five employees needing independent inboxes | Price five mailboxes, then compare with suite products |
| Newsletter or cold-email operation | Dedicated marketing or outreach platform |
| Documents, calendars, meetings, and collaborative office work | Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Zoho Workplace |
| Advanced enterprise retention or identity controls | Evaluate an enterprise-focused provider |
Final recommendation
Hostinger Mail is most attractive when the requirement is inexpensive custom-domain email rather than a complete office suite. Starter is adequate for one light-use mailbox. Standard is the sensible default for many small businesses because it combines 20 GB of storage with higher-tier AI and tracking features without the Premium price. Premium is justified by its 50 GB storage, larger alias and forwarding allowances, link and file tracking, and first-year domain offer—not simply because it is the highest tier.
Before ordering, calculate the number of actual inboxes, multiply the mailbox price by that number, compare the 48-month upfront commitment with the renewal cost, and check whether bundled hosting email already covers your immediate needs.
