Important: This is a historical analysis of the U.S. Memorial Day 2025 technology sales, not a live 2026 deal guide. The original promotions ran around Memorial Day, which fell on May 26, 2025; Memorial Day 2026 was May 25. The prices below should not be treated as current offers.
The strongest 2025 values included the M4 MacBook Air at $849, Galaxy S25 Ultra at $1,049, Dyson 360 Vis Nav at $800, iPad Air at $699, Sony WH-1000XM5 at $298 and unusually deep discounts on Blink cameras and Lenovo monitors. Whether each was a good purchase depended on model age, required subscriptions, compatibility and the buyer’s actual need—not just the advertised percentage discount.
What this Memorial Day roundup tells us
The original deal coverage was published by Engadget on May 26, 2025. Its “get today” language is now outdated. The offers were expected to end during or shortly after Memorial Day, with some ending May 26 or May 30, 2025.
That means the prices are useful as a record of the 2025 sale season, but they are not evidence that the same products are discounted now. A current shopping page would need fresh retailer checks for price, stock, seller, model number, shipping and promotional terms.

For shoppers evaluating similar future sales, the best approach is to compare the complete cost and product fit—not simply choose the largest percentage discount.

Best Apple deals from the 2025 sale
The reported Apple offers covered several different budgets and use cases:
- MacBook Air with M4: $849, approximately $150 off.
- 13-inch iPad Air with M3: $699, $100 off.
- Entry-level iPad with A16: $299, $50 off.
- AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation: approximately $148.99 to $149, $30 off.
- Apple Watch Series 10: $299, $100 off.
- Apple Pencil Pro: $99, 23% off.
- Four AirTags: $75, 24% off.
- USB-C Magic Mouse: $68, 14% off.
The best Apple purchase depended on the surrounding ecosystem. AirTags are most useful to people already using Apple’s Find My network. Apple Watch is a poor fit for Android users. The Apple Pencil Pro works only with compatible newer iPad Air and iPad Pro models, so a discounted stylus is not automatically useful with a cheaper iPad.
For laptops and tablets, compare the exact storage, memory, screen size and Wi-Fi or cellular configuration. A low headline price can apply only to one configuration. Accessories can also change the real cost: an iPad buyer may need a keyboard, case or stylus, while a MacBook buyer may need external storage.
Buy or wait?
The M4 MacBook Air and M3 iPad Air were among the more compelling historical purchases because the products were relatively current and the discounts were meaningful. The iPad at $299 was more attractive for basic streaming, browsing and schoolwork than for demanding creative tasks.

The Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4 required more caution because newer generations or future replacements can make a previous model less appealing. A discount is worthwhile only if the older product’s features and support horizon meet your needs.
Samsung and Android deals
The reported Galaxy S25 Ultra price was $1,049, approximately 19% below the comparison price. That was a substantial direct-purchase price signal for a premium Android phone, but buyers needed to verify:

- whether the phone was unlocked or tied to a carrier;
- the storage tier included in the offer;
- whether the price required trade-in credit, financing or a Samsung account;
- whether the warranty applied to the buyer’s region; and
- whether a newer flagship made the older phone a poor long-term value.
Samsung accessory offers included a 512GB USB-C flash drive for $50, with claimed read speeds of up to 400MB/s, and a 24-inch Essential Monitor S30GD for $100. Confirm the exact capacity, ports, refresh rate and resolution before buying. The monitor was reported as a 1080p IPS model with a 100Hz refresh rate, making it more suitable for everyday office use than high-end gaming.
Samsung’s own product page is useful for specifications, but it does not establish that any historical sale price remains available.
Headphones and portable audio
The Sony WH-1000XM5 was reported at $298, 25% off. It was a potentially good deal for buyers who wanted premium noise-canceling headphones without paying for the newer XM-series model. However, newer hardware can offer improvements in noise cancellation, microphones, comfort or connectivity. A lower price should compensate for those differences.
Sonos also advertised up to 25% off portable speakers, including the Move 2 and Roam 2. These products make more sense for buyers who value Sonos multi-room integration than for someone who simply wants the least expensive Bluetooth speaker. Compare the total system cost, app requirements and desired portability at Sonos.

Vacuums and robot vacuums
Vacuum discounts can look impressive while hiding recurring costs and practical limitations. The 2025 offers included:
- Dyson 360 Vis Nav: $800, $200 off.
- Dyson V8 Plus: $350, 26% off, with approximately 40 minutes of stated runtime.
- iRobot Combo Essential: $150, $125 off.
- Levoit LVAC-200: $150, 25% off.
The Dyson 360 Vis Nav’s major weakness was its lack of a self-emptying base. That matters to anyone who wants a robot vacuum requiring minimal intervention. Check mapping, obstacle avoidance, mopping performance, replacement filters, battery costs and floor-type compatibility before treating a robot vacuum as a bargain.
The V8 Plus was a conventional cordless vacuum rather than a robot. Its stated runtime may be measured in a lower-power mode, so compare usable runtime in the mode needed for carpets or heavy debris. Less expensive alternatives from Levoit, Shark or Tineco may deliver better value if premium suction, accessories or build quality are not priorities.
Security cameras and smart-home products
The reported Blink and Ring prices were particularly low, but installation and subscription details mattered more than the headline discount:

Before buying, determine whether you need cloud recording, local storage, a hub, motion alerts, person detection or integration with Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home. Also check the subscription price after any introductory period. A cheap camera system can become less attractive if essential recording features require a recurring plan.
Amazon listings require another check: confirm whether the item is sold and shipped by Amazon or supplied by a third-party marketplace seller. Seller identity, return terms, warranty coverage and product condition can differ.

Monitors, storage and accessories
The Lenovo ThinkVision T24i-30 was reported at $139, 59% off, making it one of the largest percentage discounts in the roundup. A practical monitor can be an excellent purchase when the buyer needs an additional screen, but verify resolution, inputs, stand adjustment, warranty and whether the listed price applies to the exact model.
The Samsung 512GB flash drive at $50 was useful for compatible USB-C devices, but advertised transfer speeds are maximum claims rather than a guarantee of every device’s real-world performance. Check the host device’s port standard and operating-system compatibility.

Some 2025 offers were adjacent to technology rather than conventional consumer electronics:
- Ooni: up to 20% off almost everything, including the Karu 2 at $319 and Volt 12 at $629.
- Anker: up to 50% off selected charging products for members. Membership was free but required signup.
Ooni pizza ovens belong in an outdoor entertaining category, not alongside laptops and phones. For Anker, check the member price at checkout and confirm whether the product is the intended charger, cable or power bank capacity. A percentage discount is not useful if the accessory lacks the ports, wattage or safety certifications your devices require.
Subscription offers: calculate the renewal cost
Digital promotions can be inexpensive upfront but expensive if they auto-renew. The reported 2025 offers included:

Before subscribing, record the renewal date and post-promotion price. Check whether the offer is limited to new subscribers, whether taxes are included and whether canceling immediately removes access. A two-year VPN plan may be good value for a committed user but poor value for someone unsure about continued use.
How to judge whether a Memorial Day deal is genuinely good
- Identify the exact variant. Match model number, storage, color, size, memory, connectivity and bundle contents.
- Separate the discount from the conditions. Label coupons, Prime membership, retailer memberships, Samsung accounts, trade-ins, financing and gift-card incentives separately.
- Compare recent prices. A large percentage discount can rely on an inflated list price. “Save 50%” does not prove an all-time low.
- Include ownership costs. Add subscriptions, replacement batteries, filters, ink, accessories and required hubs.
- Check seller and returns. On marketplace listings, verify seller identity, condition, warranty and return window.
- Ask whether you need it now. A deal is not a saving if it causes an unplanned purchase or replaces a product that still works.
When to buy and when to wait
Buy when:
- the exact model is at a verified or unusually low price;
- it is current enough for your expected ownership period;
- the discount does not depend on complicated trade-in or financing terms;
- you need the product before the next major sale; or
- the promotion has a clear end date and you have already compared alternatives.
Wait when:
- a replacement model is imminent;
- the product reaches similar prices frequently;
- the apparent discount is based only on a questionable list price;
- the required subscription changes the long-term cost;
- the product is an older generation and the savings are modest; or
- you are shopping shortly before a major event such as Prime Day, back-to-school sales or Black Friday.
The original 2025 coverage specifically pointed uncertain shoppers toward Amazon’s July shopping event. That advice was seasonal, not a guarantee that a later event would offer a lower price.
What is no longer safe to claim
Because the source material is from 2025, it would be misleading to describe these products as available “today,” at their historical prices, or at record lows. It would also be unsafe to carry forward claims such as “best,” “cheapest” or “lowest price” without current comparisons.
For a live 2026 version, each listing would need a fresh check of price, inventory, seller, coupon, membership requirement, shipping, return policy and exact end time. Expired offers should be removed from the main deal list or placed in a clearly labeled archive.
