What the $2.99 deal included
The promotion was legitimate, but it applied only during Cyber Monday 2024. It offered the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu Duo Basic bundle for $2.99 per month for 12 months. At the time, the regular bundle price was $10.99 per month, making the advertised savings $96 over the promotional year.

It was not an ad-free plan, and the discounted price was not guaranteed indefinitely.
When did it expire?
Contemporary deal coverage listed the deadline as 11:59 p.m. PT on December 2, 2024. That was early on December 3 in Eastern time—approximately 2:59 or 3 a.m., depending on how the deadline was displayed. The source article was published on December 2, 2024, so its “before it’s gone” language referred to that shopping day.

Cyber Monday 2026 falls on November 30, but that does not revive the 2024 promotion. A new offer would need to be announced separately.
Who could get the original offer?
Period coverage said the promotion was available to new subscribers and eligible returning subscribers. Returning customers generally needed to have been without an active subscription for a qualifying period, described in coverage as at least one month.
Eligibility could also depend on whether you already had Disney+, Hulu, or another bundle; whether your account had an active entitlement; and whether you paid Disney or Hulu directly. Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, mobile carriers, and other third-party billing partners may apply different rules. Current official bundle terms also warn that third-party billing can affect promotional timing and eligibility.

Why old pages still show $2.99
Old deal articles, search snippets, affiliate widgets, and cached pages can preserve a price long after a promotion ends. The date of the article matters: a page published in December 2024 may accurately describe a deal that is no longer available.
The final official checkout screen is the authority. If it does not explicitly show $2.99 per month for 12 months, you are not receiving the old Cyber Monday offer. Do not create duplicate accounts or repeatedly cancel and resubscribe to bypass eligibility rules.

The ad-supported plan’s stated six-month introductory cost is $71.94. Prices, taxes, eligibility, and renewal terms can change, so check the official page and checkout before paying.
The current $11.99 offer is much more expensive than the expired $2.99 promotion, but bundling can still cost less than buying both services separately, depending on their standalone prices and your eligibility.

- Go directly to the official Disney+ and Hulu Duo page.
- Sign in or create an account.
- Select the plan you want.
- Confirm the introductory price, promotional duration, renewal price, taxes, and cancellation terms.
- Check whether the subscription will be billed directly by Disney or Hulu rather than through a third party.
- Save the confirmation email and note the renewal date.
If checkout shows $11.99, $12.99, or another amount instead of $2.99, the 2024 deal is not being applied.

What the bundle does—and does not—include
You receive access to both services, but “bundle” does not mean that the entire Hulu catalog is inside the Disney+ app. Disney says selected Hulu content may appear within Disney+, while the Hulu app remains necessary for the full Hulu library and certain add-ons or Hulu Live TV content.
The $2.99 promotion was also not appropriate for viewers who required ad-free on-demand playback. Even premium plans can include ads in selected live or linear programming, so review the applicable terms if that distinction matters to you.

The promotional price ended automatically after the stated term. Subscriptions generally renew unless canceled, and renewal occurs at the then-current regular price—not necessarily the price advertised when you signed up.

For the historical deal, that means subscribers needed to reassess before the 12-month period ended. Current official terms say cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the applicable billing period or, for some fixed initial terms, at the end of that term. Review the terms attached to your specific subscription before canceling; immediate termination is not guaranteed.
Is the current bundle worth it?
The current Duo plan is most defensible for households that regularly use both catalogs and accept advertisements. It is less attractive if you watch only one service, need Hulu Live TV, dislike ads, already receive one service through another provider, or would use both for only a month or two.
Before subscribing, compare the six-month introductory cost and the renewal price with the cost of rotating between standalone services. Existing subscribers should first check their account’s plan-management page. Canceling may affect current access, billing, or eligibility for another promotion.
Bottom line
The $2.99 Disney+ and Hulu Cyber Monday deal was real, but it was a time-limited Cyber Monday 2024 offer and has expired. Treat the headline as historical deal coverage, not a live shopping alert. For a current option, use the official Disney+ bundle page and judge the offer shown at checkout—including its renewal price, ads, eligibility rules, and cancellation terms.
