Is Ubisoft being bought out?
Not on the evidence available here. A December 6, 2024 Insider Gaming report summarizing Reuters said the Guillemot family was continuing discussions with Tencent and other investors about a potential buyout. The report described discussions, not an offer accepted by Ubisoft, a signed agreement, or a completed acquisition. That account said the Guillemot family wanted to retain control of Ubisoft, while Tencent had not decided whether to increase its stake. It did not establish that the parties had settled on terms or that a transaction would happen. Ubisoft’s more recent official investor materials cited below do not confirm whether private discussions continued after 2024.
Why was Ubisoft stock halted?
The halt announced in November 2025 was tied to financial reporting, not an announced buyout. Ubisoft said it was postponing publication of its first-half FY2025-26 results and had asked Euronext to halt trading in its shares and specified bonds from the November 14 market open until the results were published. The announcement identified the securities covered by the request: Ubisoft shares, ISIN FR0000054470, and bonds with ISINs FR001400DV38, FR001400MA32, and FR001400O087. It did not say the halt was prompted by a takeover offer or negotiations.
When did Ubisoft shares resume trading?

Ubisoft’s investor page identifies its share as UBI, traded in euros on Euronext Paris. Its calendar lists a September 30, 2026 annual shareholders’ meeting and November 19, 2026 first-half sales and earnings date.
