The Union Public Service Commission’s recruitment page lists Advertisement No. 11/2026 and Advertisement No. 12/2026. The page was last updated on 7 October 2026. These are separate notices, so a list of roles drawn from both should not be treated as one advertisement.
Advertisement No. 11/2026 is for recruitment by selection and includes Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor vacancies as well as non-teaching medical and legal posts. Its two confirmed Assistant Professor entries are:

Advertisement No. 12/2026 lists other roles, including Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology), Assistant Legislative Counsel, Law Officer and Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale)-Cardiology. Do not combine its posts with Advertisement No. 11/2026 unless a source explicitly identifies an aggregate across both notices. The separate Advertisement No. 12/2026 notice gives its own vacancy and application details.
Which application deadlines are still relevant?
Advertisement No. 11/2026 gives a general closing time of 18:00 on 2 October 2026. The post under the Administration of UT of Ladakh has a separate closing date of 9 October 2026. Therefore, on 8 October 2026, the general window had closed while the Ladakh deadline was still upcoming. The notice’s dates do not establish that the portal will accept a late or incomplete application; check the relevant vacancy and portal status directly. See the Advertisement No. 11/2026 notice.
What qualifications does the General Medicine Assistant Professor post require?
The General Medicine vacancy requires a recognized MBBS qualification, a relevant postgraduate degree and at least three years of specified teaching experience after the first postgraduate degree. Experience as a General Duty Medical Officer or Medical Officer does not count toward that teaching-experience requirement. These criteria apply to this advertised teaching post; they should not be assumed to apply to every medical vacancy in UPSC’s notices.
