When the sale starts and who gets early access
Flipkart’s timing has two parts. Early access opens first, and the general event follows the next day. The company has not published a closing date in the material available as of October 9, 2026.

Flipkart first confirmed the 2026 campaign in a September 16, 2026 release, which used the theme “Luck Badal Sakta Hai” and also gave October 8 as the early-access date. The October 6 announcement is the more detailed source for operational and seller information.
What Flipkart says is new for customers
Flipkart describes this edition as a broader selection with more ways to find products. Its key customer-facing claims are:

- Flipkart Minutes: more than 77,000 products across over 1,400 categories in more than 150 cities.
These are availability and feature claims. The announcement does not publish item-level prices, category-wise discount lists, or delivery times for specific products, so a larger catalogue does not by itself mean lower prices for any given purchase.
Seller participation: what the numbers measure
Flipkart ties the event to a larger seller base. The company says it has its highest-ever participating seller count for a Big Billion Days edition, with more than 60% more transacting sellers than the previous year.

Two seller programme claims are worth reading carefully:
- 0% commission on fashion price points. Flipkart says this offer brought 75% new sellers onto the platform ahead of the event. This is the company’s own description of its seller intake, and the announcement does not give the number of sellers involved or the duration of the commission offer.
- Pre-positioned inventory. Flipkart says more than 2.5 crore (25 million) MSME, small-seller, artisan, and weaver units were placed in Ekart fulfilment centres ahead of the sale. This is a stocking figure. It does not indicate how many units sold or how much revenue sellers earned.
For sellers, the event’s value depends on whether listings sell through during the sale. The announcement does not provide sales, margin, or payout data, so none of those outcomes can be inferred from the seller figures above.

Fulfilment capacity: the announced network changes
Flipkart reports capacity additions for Ekart, its logistics arm, and its wider delivery network. The table lists each figure as stated by the company on October 6, 2026.

Capacity additions show how much room the network has been given for peak demand. They do not show how quickly orders will arrive, and no on-time delivery rate has been published for this event.

What to check before you buy
The announcement leaves several shopping decisions to the buyer. A practical checklist:
- Confirm whether your account qualifies for early access on October 8, 2026. The announcement names Plus, BLACK, and Flipkart credit card members.
- Compare prices yourself. The announcement does not publish item-level prices or discount percentages, so check the product price and any offer shown before purchase, and compare it with the price you saw earlier.
- Enter your delivery PIN code at checkout before you commit to a purchase. Flipkart’s new PIN code additions are announced network changes, not a promise of service in every area.
- Check the event end date in the Flipkart app, since the announcement does not provide it.
