The report does not name Facebook, Instagram, or any other Meta service individually. It describes a restriction on ByteDance ads and paid marketing messages placed on Meta platforms, so it does not establish which specific apps or ad products are covered. It also does not explain whether affiliated advertisers or agencies are included.
Why did Meta restrict ByteDance advertising?
The report does not provide Meta’s rationale. Without an explanation from Meta or further reporting, the reason for the reported restriction is not established.
