That figure was an estimate attributed to Capology, not a salary Leeds confirmed, and published estimates for other seasons differ.
Was Patrick Bamford earning £70,000 a week at Leeds?
That was the reported figure for the 2023/24 season. LeedsUnited.news attributed it to Capology, whose salary figures are estimates rather than official payroll disclosures: LeedsUnited.news’s 2023/24 report and Capology. The estimate equates to £3,640,000 over 52 weeks, before any deductions. It should not be presented as a confirmed contract term or as his take-home pay.

Why do reports give different Leeds wage figures?
A separate LeedsUnited.news report, in a 2024/25 context, put Bamford’s pay at £40,000 per week. The two figures relate to different season contexts and neither is an official Leeds disclosure, so they do not establish a verified wage history or prove that one figure definitively replaced the other: the 2024/25-context report.

What did Leeds confirm about his contract and departure?

No. Capology lists an estimated fixed salary of £30,000 per week for Bamford at Sheffield United in 2026/27, excluding bonuses, with a listed contract expiry of 30 June 2027. That is a separate estimate for a different club and season; it does not establish what Leeds paid him or the terms of his Sheffield United contract: Capology’s Bamford listing.
