There is no evidence-based overall winner between Enom and GoDaddy as web hosts. GoDaddy sells web hosting; Enom’s reviewed materials describe a reseller platform for domains, email, SSL/TLS and DNS, not a comparable consumer hosting plan. First identify whether you need a website host, a domain registrar, DNS services or a reseller platform.
Are Enom and GoDaddy both web hosts?
Not on the evidence available. GoDaddy’s official web-hosting page identifies it as a hosting provider, although the available page information does not establish a current plan-by-plan comparison. Enom’s business platform is aimed at companies such as hosting providers and website builders, with products including domain registration, hosted email and SSL/TLS. Its DNS hosting is a domain-management service, not the same thing as hosting a website’s files and application.
If a website host uses Enom to register or manage a domain, compare that host with GoDaddy—not Enom—with the domain registrar identified separately. The name “Enom hosting” may refer to a reseller’s underlying hosting service rather than an Enom consumer hosting plan.
What each company’s documented services cover
Enom: domains, DNS and reseller services
Enom’s business page describes a reseller-oriented platform and says it offers more than 550 top-level domains (TLDs). Its undated homepage also reports 6.5 million-plus domains registered, 22,000-plus resellers, 20-plus years in business and activity in 150-plus countries. These are company-reported figures observed on October 8, 2026, not independent measurements.

#1 Best Overall
Enom says its DNS hosting lets customers manage A, CNAME, MX and TXT/SPF records at no extra cost and use API controls. The page also promotes DNSSEC, monitoring and 24/7 support. These are Enom’s descriptions of its service; they do not establish independently measured DNS speed, uptime or support performance. A separate support article says DNS hosting can be used even if a domain is registered elsewhere.
GoDaddy: web hosting and separate domain services
GoDaddy offers web hosting, but the available official hosting information does not provide enough usable, current plan detail to compare price, resources or inclusions with a specific alternative. GoDaddy’s broad company reporting describes multiple hosting tiers and bundles with products such as SSL and WordPress; that description is not a substitute for checking the terms of a particular plan in your country.
A domain name and web hosting are separate services, even when one company sells or bundles them. GoDaddy’s domain-cost guide explains the distinction. Registering a domain does not by itself provide the storage and server service needed to publish a website.
Do not confuse domain prices with hosting prices
GoDaddy’s domain-cost article lists a .com registration example of $0.01 for the first year when the customer makes a three-year total purchase, with a $22.99 renewal price. GoDaddy labels those domain figures accurate on May 20, 2026. They are not web-hosting fees, and they may not describe current terms; check the checkout and renewal terms for the domain and hosting products separately.
Rank #3
Enom’s reseller pricing is also not a retail web-hosting price list. Its support article describes four reseller levels—Essential, Advanced, Premium and Enterprise—and says the stated pricing changes took effect April 1, 2024. The published eligibility thresholds for higher tiers are:
| Enom reseller tier | Stated annual spend requirement | Stated annual new-registration/transfer requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Not stated in the cited Enom support article | Not stated in the cited Enom support article |
| Advanced | $2,000 across domains, email and SSL | 100 |
| Premium | $50,000 | 500 |
| Enterprise | $100,000 | 1,000 |
Enom says it assesses activity from January 1 through December 31 using the previous calendar year, with a changed tier taking effect April 1 after review. These are reseller-program thresholds, not consumer hosting fees. Because the support article says the changes took effect in 2024, confirm current thresholds and timing with Enom before relying on them.

How to compare hosting plans fairly
Once you have identified an actual Enom-related web host, compare it with a specific GoDaddy plan for the same country, billing term and type of website. Record the terms at checkout and renewal rather than relying on a headline offer.
- Price and term: Compare the introductory charge, renewal rate, billing interval and any minimum commitment.
- Resources: Check storage, site or database limits, and any stated resource restrictions relevant to your workload.
- Included services: Verify SSL, backups, WordPress features, email and migration terms; do not assume a bundle applies to every tier.
- Support: Compare availability, contact channels and the scope of assistance for the plan you would buy.
- Performance: Look for transparent, matched testing of comparable plans and locations. Marketing claims or unrelated tests do not establish which provider will be faster for your site.
- Purpose: If you only need to point a domain to a site hosted elsewhere, evaluate DNS and registrar features rather than buying hosting you do not need.
Which should you choose?
Choose GoDaddy for consideration when you need web hosting
GoDaddy is the directly relevant option among these two when the decision is specifically about buying a web-hosting plan. Select only after checking current plan resources, renewal pricing, included features and support for your region and billing term.

Consider Enom when you need domain or reseller infrastructure
Enom’s documented fit is stronger for businesses that want to resell domain-related services or manage DNS, email and SSL offerings. Its DNS page says domain registration elsewhere is compatible with its DNS hosting, so those services need not be tied to an Enom-registered domain.
Why there is no defensible overall winner
The available information does not establish a matched Enom consumer hosting plan, current comparable plan prices, or independent side-by-side evidence for speed, uptime or support. A ranking would therefore compare unlike services or rely on details not established here. Treat the “April 2026” date in the question as historical framing, not proof that any listed terms remain current as of October 8, 2026.
