Microsoft’s 2026 Rewards sweepstakes offered one $1,000,000 USD cash grand prize, but it is over: entries closed May 21, 2026. The promotion’s basic entry was free for eligible Microsoft Rewards members; optional activities could add entries, and some involved spending points, making a purchase, or starting a subscription. Those routes are no longer available for this promotion.
What was the Microsoft $1 million promotion?
It was the 2026 Microsoft Rewards Total Prize Drop, a sweepstakes with one $1,000,000 USD cash grand prize and three vehicle prizes. Microsoft described the vehicles as customizable Mercedes-Benz cars; its FAQ specified a $170,000 USD spending budget per vehicle prize, for a Mercedes-Benz available through an authorized dealer in each winner’s jurisdiction. Can you still enter?
No. Microsoft’s FAQ says the promotion opened March 12, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ended May 21, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The scheduled drawing was June 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time. These dates are for this specific, expired promotion; they do not establish whether Microsoft is offering another sweepstakes. How entry worked
When the promotion was open, Microsoft’s FAQ described one free sweepstakes entry after an entrant completed the entry form. The form could be completed on a Windows PC, smartphone, or tablet. Microsoft Rewards membership was required both when entering and when receiving a prize.

Participants could pursue optional promotional activities for bonus entries. Microsoft’s activity page listed routes involving Bing and Edge searches, Bing Image Creator, Copilot Search, installing the Copilot app, redeeming Rewards points, and other Microsoft activities. The page also listed activities tied to a minimum Microsoft Store purchase and a Microsoft 365 Premium signup or trial. These were optional bonus-entry activities; a purchase or subscription was not described as necessary for the free entry. Who was eligible?
Microsoft’s FAQ summary listed legal residents of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Greece, Finland, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, New Zealand, Japan, the Czech Republic, Romania, and South Africa. It also said entrants had to be the age of majority and that the sweepstakes was void where prohibited. Canadian and Mexican residents faced a skill-testing question.
