When Yo-Chi opened in Claremont Quarter
Claremont Quarter announced the new store in a post dated 4 April 2025 titled “Yo-Chi is here.” PerthNow’s opening-day report, dated 12 May 2025, says the Claremont venue began welcoming customers that Monday, about a month after the centre’s announcement. The Claremont store is the one the centre described as placed in the Laneway on Level 1.

What kind of venue it is
Yo-Chi is a self-serve frozen yoghurt and açaí bar. You build your own serve by choosing a flavour and then toppings. The Town of Claremont’s business directory describes it the same way, which suggests the format is consistent across listings, though it does not confirm the current menu.

Seasonal flavours rotate, so treat this list as a snapshot from the opening period rather than the current menu.

Dietary options
The centre’s announcement mentions dairy-free and gluten-free choices. It does not establish that every flavour, topping or preparation method is free of either. If you have an allergy or a dietary requirement, ask the staff about the specific flavour and topping you plan to use before ordering.

Both listings were the ones available when the sources were checked, and they may have changed since. The Town of Claremont directory also lists hours that differ from the centre’s, so the safest option is to call the store on (08) 6364 0048 before a trip, especially on a public holiday or late evening.
The design and atmosphere
PerthNow’s report says the venue was designed by Claudia Marro, Yo-Chi’s design director, and describes a colourful interior with plants and the brand’s signature artwork. Marro is quoted in the report as saying:

The headline describes Yo-Chi as a cult favourite. That is the publication’s framing. The coverage cited here does not include a popularity survey or independent figure that measures the brand’s following.
PerthNow also reported that the Claremont venue was the chain’s eleventh store to open in the west. That is a count from May 2025. It is not a current number, and the chain may have opened more stores since.
Planning a visit

- Check the current menu and flavour list with staff, since seasonal flavours change.
