YETI’s U.S. product page still listed it at $425 on October 8, 2026. AL.com reported a 20% discount on the Venom colorway—$340, or $85 off—on August 15, 2026, but that dated report does not show whether the offer is still available.
Which YETI cooler is the headline likely about?
The likely product is the Roadie 48 Wheeled Cooler, though the headline alone does not identify a model conclusively. YETI’s U.S. product page showed the Roadie 48 at $425.00 when checked October 8, 2026. A product listing establishes that YETI still lists the cooler; it does not guarantee that every color is in stock.
Is the Roadie 48 being retired?
No reviewed source provides an attributable official YETI announcement that the Roadie 48 model is being retired. A markdown on one color is not proof that the whole cooler is discontinued.
Other 2026 retirement coverage concerns different products or a color, not the Roadie 48:
#1 Best Overall
- PERISCOPE HANDLE: Retractable for convenience and built strong for extra-hefty provisions
- NEVERFLAT WHEELS: Solid, single-piece tire construction is impact and puncture-resistant.
- LIPGRIP HANDLES: Stay out of the way and make carrying your catch easy.
- BEARFOOT NON-SLIP FEET: Prevent sliding on the boat or in the backseat.
- BUILT FOR THE WILD - Designed with legendary toughness to keep up wherever your adventure takes you
- Cleveland.com reported on August 27, 2026, that YETI was retiring the original Rambler Travel Mug line. That is drinkware, not a cooler.
- MassLive reported on September 15, 2026, that the Tropical Pink colorway was being retired across YETI’s lineup. A colorway retirement does not establish that a particular cooler model is ending.
What was the reported sale, and is it still available?
AL.com reported on August 15, 2026, that the Roadie 48 in Venom was $340, down from a stated regular price of $425. That is a reported $85 saving, or 20%, tied to that color and date—not a verified current offer. Check the selected color’s price and availability at checkout before deciding whether the discount is worthwhile. The $425 price on YETI’s page on October 8 is a separate, later listing and does not establish the live price of every color.
What does the Roadie 48 offer?
According to AL.com’s August 15, 2026, report, the cooler has two NeverFlat wheels and a retractable Periscope handle. The report says it can hold up to 76 cans without ice, or 54 pounds of ice alone. It also describes a taller interior that accommodates most standard wine bottles and 2-liter bottles upright, plus one removable dry goods basket.

- LIPGRIP HANDLES: Stay out of the way and make carrying your catch easy.
- BEARFOOT NON-SLIP FEET: Prevent sliding on the boat or in the backseat.
Those figures describe different loads: the can capacity is stated without ice, while the ice figure is ice alone. They are not a direct measure of how many cans and ice fit together. When assessing whether the cooler suits your plans, consider the load you expect to carry, how you will transport it, whether its dimensions fit your vehicle or storage space, and which color is actually available at the price shown.

How to judge the price before buying
- Check the exact model and color; a color-specific markdown does not necessarily apply to every Roadie 48.
- Compare the checkout price with the $425 manufacturer listing observed October 8, 2026, while recognizing that prices and stock can change.
- Decide whether the reported capacity, wheels, and handle suit your expected use. The cited coverage does not provide comparative testing against other coolers or independently verified ice-retention results.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
