Xfinity Mobile’s current consumer page lists two unlimited plans that require Xfinity Internet: Mobile Select at $30 per month and Mobile Plus at $45 per month. Mobile Plus also carries a first-year offer of $15 per month that reverts to $45. These are the figures to check against as of October 8, 2026, the date Xfinity’s pages were checked for this article.
What the current pages do not show is when these plans were introduced or what they cost before. This article therefore does not confirm that the plans are cheaper than earlier options or that they include more data than before. It explains what the current terms include, what they require, and where the advertised numbers can mislead.
What the advertised price requires
The headline monthly figures are conditional. Three conditions matter most:
- Xfinity Internet is required. The displayed plan prices assume an eligible Xfinity Internet service on the account.
- The displayed price already includes a $10 per month internet customer discount. Xfinity’s pricing footnote states this. If you do not qualify for the internet discount, the mobile price you pay is not the one shown.
- Taxes and fees are extra. The page does not give a combined estimate, so the amount on your bill will be higher than the headline figure.
Monthly charges also depend on the number of lines on the account and the data option chosen for each line. A one-line price is not a multi-line price.

Mobile Select and Mobile Plus side by side
The two plans share unlimited domestic talk, text, and data, international talk, text, and data in 215+ destinations, and WiFi PowerBoost. They differ in hotspot limits, video quality, and extras. Xfinity’s descriptions are summarized below as of October 8, 2026.
| Feature | Mobile Select | Mobile Plus |
|---|---|---|
| Displayed monthly price, with Xfinity Internet | $30 | $45 |
| Promotional price | Not stated on the plan page reviewed | $15 per month for the first year, then $45 |
| Unlimited domestic talk, text, and data | Yes | Yes |
| International talk, text, and data | 215+ destinations (Xfinity’s stated count) | 215+ destinations (Xfinity’s stated count) |
| Hotspot data speed reduction | After 15 GB | After 50 GB |
| Network congestion | Data may be slowed during network congestion after 50 GB | Not stated in the plan description |
| Video quality | 720p | 4K |
| WiFi PowerBoost | Included | Included |
| Additional benefits | Not listed in the plan description | Xfinity Mobile Care Plus, phone-upgrade benefits, Xfinity Call Guard |
Because the plans differ on hotspot and video terms, a plain comparison of “unlimited” labels will miss real differences. A heavy hotspot user and a streaming-focused household on a single phone will face different trade-offs.
Three different data thresholds
Readers often treat the numbers in Xfinity’s plan descriptions as a single limit. They are separate rules with separate triggers.
Hotspot speed reduction: 15 GB or 50 GB
Hotspot usage is capped by a reduced-speed threshold: 15 GB on Mobile Select and 50 GB on Mobile Plus. Hotspot data also counts toward your monthly usage, and Xfinity’s acceptable use policy applies to how the service is used.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Network congestion: Mobile Select after 50 GB
Xfinity states that Mobile Select data may be slowed during network congestion after 50 GB. This is a congestion rule, not a hotspot rule, and the plan description does not state a comparable congestion threshold for Mobile Plus.
Data prioritization after the monthly threshold
Xfinity’s support page says that when a line exceeds its monthly cellular data usage threshold, speeds are no longer prioritized. Its “premium data” is described as providing less buffering and faster speeds when network demand is high, such as at crowded concerts or sporting events. The support text describes this rule without listing the threshold figure, so check the terms for your plan before assuming where it starts.

Promotional pricing is not the regular price
The $15 per month figure applies to Mobile Plus during the first year, subject to eligibility and promotion terms, including qualifying residential post-pay internet requirements. Xfinity says regular rates apply after the promotion, and the displayed promotion is restricted and may vary by area.
For a single Mobile Plus line, the arithmetic is simple. The promotional year costs 12 × $15 = $180 for the mobile price. The regular rate for a full year costs 12 × $45 = $540. The difference of $360 per year applies to the advertised mobile price only, before taxes, fees, and any change in internet pricing.

Phone offers are separate from plan pricing. Xfinity’s page advertises handset promotions, including a qualifying trade-in and device payment plan offer, and one page version showed an offer ending October 8, 2026. A handset discount should not be read as a permanent reduction in the plan’s monthly price.

Existing customers may have different terms
If you already have an Xfinity Mobile line, the new plan pricing may not apply to you automatically.
- By the Gig eligibility: By the Gig is available only to customers who joined Xfinity Mobile before April 22, 2026.
- Moving to the latest pricing plan: Customers on By the Gig who move to the latest pricing plan must change those lines to Mobile Select or Mobile Plus. They cannot return to By the Gig pricing on that plan.
- Legacy broadband schedules: Xfinity’s broadband disclosures list older Unlimited, Unlimited Intro, Unlimited Plus, and Premium Unlimited price schedules that vary by account cohort and plan. Xfinity states that prices are subject to change upon notice. These disclosures do not establish a direct old-versus-new comparison for mobile plans.
Before switching an existing line, confirm which cohort the account belongs to and what the change would do to the line’s current price and data terms.

A multi-product discount may be available when you have an eligible Xfinity Internet service and at least one active mobile plan. Xfinity’s support page lists Internet Essentials, Internet Essentials Plus, NOW Internet, and NOW WiFi Pass as ineligible for that discount. If your home internet is one of those services, the bundled figure may not apply.

Xfinity’s own comparison
Xfinity’s comparison page sets its Mobile Select and Mobile Plus plans against Verizon Unlimited Plus, T-Mobile Experience More 2.0, and AT&T Premium 2.0 for a one-line savings comparison dated September 9, 2026. This is Xfinity’s own comparison, not an independent or fully normalized one. Before relying on it, rebuild the comparison yourself using the same line count, the same internet assumptions, taxes and fees, hotspot thresholds, video quality, and whether each competitor’s first-year price is temporary.
Checklist before you choose a plan
- Confirm that your home internet is eligible and that the $10 internet discount applies to your account.
- Add taxes and fees to the monthly price you are comparing.
- Note the promotional end date for Mobile Plus, and the regular rate that follows.
- Estimate your hotspot use against the 15 GB (Mobile Select) and 50 GB (Mobile Plus) thresholds.
- Decide whether you need 4K video or are fine with 720p.
- If you are an existing customer, check your By the Gig status and what a move to the latest plan would change.
The Bottom Line
Xfinity’s current terms are a $30 Mobile Select plan and a $45 Mobile Plus plan, both tied to Xfinity Internet, with Mobile Plus offered at $15 per month for its first year. The lower figures are real but temporary, and the plans differ on hotspot limits, video quality, and extras. Treat the headline as a starting point and calculate the full monthly cost, including taxes and fees, before deciding.
