PerthNow reported in July 2025 that the target opening was 2028. That date and the features below were plans reported in 2025, not confirmation that the venue has opened or that the timetable remains current.
Where is the planned Yahava roastery?
PerthNow reported that the project would occupy a 17-acre estate close to Yahava KoffeeWorks’ existing West Swan Road location. Co-owner Alastair Ingram said the business had outgrown its current premises and described the proposal as a coffee destination rather than simply a larger production facility. PerthNow reported the plans on 8 July 2025.
The 2025 report gave 2028 as the target opening year. It does not establish that construction is complete, that the venue is open, or that the target is still in effect.
What would visitors be able to do?
The proposed experience was designed to take visitors through several stages of coffee production and preparation:
#1 Best Overall
- SUPER CREMA: A 2.2 lb whole bean coffee bag ideal for espresso preparation
- INTENSITY AND ROAST: This full-bodied medium roast offers a bold and creamy finish
- BLEND: Made from Arabica and Robusta beans, this naturally caffeinated blend is sourced from 15 coffee-growing countries around the world
- PREPARATION: Ideal for espresso preparation.
- BREWING GUIDE FOR SINGLE ESPRESSO: 0.28 oz of ground espresso delivers a 1 oz espresso shot
- Explore: an interactive walkthrough intended to evoke a coffee plantation.
- See production: views of the processing and roasting operation, alongside demonstrations.
- Taste: opportunities to try Yahava blends and coffees from different origins.
- Learn: planned workshops on coffee blending, milk texturising and espresso extraction.
The plans also included a kitchen serving drinks and food and a playground for children. These are features described in 2025 reporting, not a confirmed list of facilities at an operating venue. Have a Go News’ August 2025 coverage added detail on the proposed expansion.
What capacity changes were projected?
Have a Go News reported the owners’ projections for the new operation. The figures describe intended capacity relative to the existing business; they are not independently measured outcomes.

| Area | Reported projection | Qualification |
|---|---|---|

| Seating | 2.5 times the capacity | Owner projection reported in August 2025 by Have a Go News; not an achieved result. |
| Drive-through | Double the capacity | Owner projection reported in August 2025 by Have a Go News; not an achieved result. |
Is it confirmed as WA’s biggest walk-in roastery?
No independent ranking is established by the cited coverage. PerthNow attributed the ambition to create WA’s largest public-facing walk-in roastery to Ingram and described it as based on the company’s research. Ingram also called the goal “Australia’s premier coffee destination,” which is a company aspiration, not an independently verified title.
For now, the useful distinction is between the project’s reported scale and its promotional superlatives: the acreage and capacity figures are plans, while “biggest” and “premier” are attributed claims rather than verified comparisons with other venues.
